Who we are

iPrice Malaysia is a price comparison and coupon website operated by Commerce Media Ventures Sdn Bhd (company no. 202401040819 / 1586666-W), 18-02, Menara MBMR, Jalan Syed Putra, Mid Valley City, 58000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. It applies to this website and the content, tools and services on it.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use iPrice Malaysia, we may collect the following.

• Information you give us: Your name, company, email address and message when you contact us or send a partnership enquiry and, if you create an account, subscribe to updates or take part in a promotion, the details you provide for that purpose.
• Information collected automatically: Your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language, screen size, pages viewed, time spent, clicks (including the offers and coupons you open), the page that referred you and your approximate location.
• Cookies and similar technologies: Small files and scripts that remember your device and measure how the site is used. See “Cookies and similar technologies” below.
• Information from partner stores: After you click an offer, a partner store or affiliate network may tell us that a purchase took place (for example the time, order value and a click identifier) so that we can be credited. We don’t receive your payment details or full order history.

How we use your information

• Run iPrice Malaysia, show prices, offers and coupons, and keep the site secure and working properly.
• Understand how visitors use the site and improve it, including through analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity.
• Measure the performance of partner links and campaigns and receive commissions from partner stores.
• Reply to your enquiries and manage partnerships and business relationships.
• Send you updates or offers if you have asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
• Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and comply with the law.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in running and improving iPrice Malaysia, performance of a contract or compliance with legal obligations, as applicable.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working, to understand how it is used and to attribute referrals to partner stores. The table shows the main types, including the cookies set by Microsoft Clarity.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and, where we show a cookie notice, manage your choices there. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the site. If cookies are disabled, Clarity doesn’t set its cookies.

How we share your information

We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

• Service providers: Hosting, analytics (including Microsoft Clarity), email and security providers that process data for us under appropriate safeguards.
• Partner stores and affiliate networks: When you click an offer you leave iPrice Malaysia. We pass on a click identifier so the store can credit the referral; the store’s own privacy policy then applies.

• Business changes: A buyer or successor if the business or its assets are transferred, subject to this policy.

International data transfers

iPrice Malaysia is operated from Malaysia, and our service providers, including Microsoft, may store or process data in other countries. Where required by law, we take steps to make sure your data stays protected in line with this policy.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as the law requires. For example, enquiry emails are kept while we handle the request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and Clarity data follows the periods above. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Your rights under the PDPA

iPrice Malaysia is operated from Malaysia and handles personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and its amendments. Subject to the PDPA, you may:

• ask for access to the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated data
• withdraw your consent to processing, and ask us to limit processing in certain cases
• where applicable, ask for your data to be transferred to another organisation (data portability)

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia. Where the law allows, we may charge a reasonable fee for access requests.

Children

iPrice Malaysia is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

iPrice Malaysia links to partner stores and other websites that we don’t control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies before sharing information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the “last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where required by law.
