Predicting the Winner of the World Cup

Just like Paul the Octopus predicted Germany to be the winner of the 2014 World Cup. This year, another special creature is poised to predict the winner Achilles, the white, deaf, German cat living in State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.

Dubbed the “feline oracle” by the museum, the cat predicted several matches correctly during the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Saint Petersburg. For those matches, the cat predicted correctly between two bowls of food marked with the flags of the competing countries.
