What is Known So Far about the Sony Xperia XA2

Sony smartphone fans have something to look forward to as the Japanese technology company revealed the upcoming flagship known as the Sony Xperia XA2 smartphone last August. Although the official date has yet to be announced, the smartphone’s specs are pretty much an open secret online. A compilation of the Xperia XA2 smartphone’s features are highlighted below.

This new smartphone by Sony will feature a large 6.0-inch LCD screen with 1440 x 2560pixel resolution display, enabling it to deliver accurate colour representation and ample brightness for better legibility in all lighting conditions. Under the hood, the Sony Xperia XA2 is runs on a powerful MediaTek Helio P20 chipset that is supported by Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The device is powered by an Octa-core 4 x 2.35GHz processor with 6GB RAM that enables the phone to handle multitasking without showing any signs of slowing down.

The Xperia XA2 comes in two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB. However, the storage capacity can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD. The Xperia XA2 also provides users with longer productivity as it comes with a massive 4070mAh non-removable battery. The powerful battery enables the device to last through the day easily.

Being a Sony smartphone, it is only natural for the highlight of this Sony smartphone to be its dual 21-megapixel rear camera along with a 20-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. The cameras come with LED flash, touch focus, face detection, and other useful features. For now, the Xperia XA2 is available in three colour options – blue, gray, and black.

For now, the official release date and price of the Xperia XA2 has not been announced by Sony. However, experts are predicting that the smartphone will be priced from RM2,096 upwards.
