Sony’s Borderless Xperia XA1 is Now Available in South East Asian Markets

Sony announced in the previous months that they will be focusing on the Xperia X line of smartphones which includes the Sony Xperia XA1. With that, they dedicated their time to manufacturing smartphones models that users will like. Now, the Xperia XA1 has been launched in some countries this month, sporting a borderless display and remarkable features.

The Xperia XA1 is one of Sony’s latest mid-range smartphones whose display is topped with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It comes with a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It also has an IPS LCD touchscreen and a high screen-to-body ratio of 70.9%. With that, the Xperia XA1 hosts a nearly edgeless display akin to Huawei P10 Lite.

In terms of the software and hardware, the handset comes with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat version. It comes equipped with a powerful Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 processor with a Mali-T880MP2 GPU. The flagship also houses a 32GB internal memory along with a 3 GB RAM. Moving towards the battery, the Xperia XA1 sports a decent 2,300 mAh battery which allows for 560 hours of standby time or 11 hours of talk time. Moreover, it also has an expandable memory of up to 256 GB via a micro SD card.

In the camera department, the Xperia XA1’s has 23 MP for its primary camera with a phase detection, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and a LED flash. While its 8 MP front snapper comes equipped with an autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. The Xperia XA1 comes with impressive features, giving users more than what they are looking for a mid-range device. Its bezel-less display, as well as its decent amount of RAM and internal storage, will appeal to users who are looking for a remarkable wide screen mid-range device.

The Xperia XA1 is now out in South East Asian markets. It costs around 1280 RM in Malaysia, 14,735 PHP in the Philippines, 414 SGD in Singapore, and 2,310 HKD in Hong Kong.
