According to Gizchina, they discovered a back cover image of the Mi 6 Plus along with the Mi 6 smartphone on the Chinese web, giving us clues that the launch date might be in the near future. As revealed in the image, the Mi 6 Plus’ back cover is similar to the Mi 6 in terms of design; the only difference is the size – it is larger compared to the Mi 6 as expected.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is also said to come with a 5.7-inch full-HD display and Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is a top-of-the-line processor. It is expected to be offered in three internal storage variants 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB with 4GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB of RAM, respectively.
Also, there’s this previous device spotted on GFXBench which was named Xiaomi Jason. This was rumored to be Xiaomi Mi 6’s flagship variant, the Mi 6c. It is said to come with a Snapdragon 660 chipset with 8 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz. This is coupled with a 6 GB of RAM and will house a 64 GB internal storage. This may also sport a 5.1-inch display with full-HD resolution display and may run MIUI alongside the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The alleged device may also be equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera alongside a 4-megapixel front camera. It's worth mentioning that the rumored Xiaomi Jason could be released with a different name other than Mi 6c.
As of writing, Xioami hasn’t revealed the release dates for Southeast Asian markets, although it is believed to be priced at around USD$390.
