Leaked Sony Xperia C6 Renders Reveal a Large Front-Facing Camera

Recently, Sony revealed that their focus is on the Xperia X lineup. However, they still have to dedicate time into manufacturing other devices such as the rumored Xperia C6. Renders of the rumored device have been floating all over the internet, displaying Sony’s signature outer body design that can be seen in their recent smartphone models. One leak that surfaced about the Xperia C6 shows a design that is similar to the renders that appeared in the previous months.

Lately, there have been renders for the device’s design and specifications that leaked online. They reveal that the device sports a large camera sensor on the front that could be the selfie camera. The front cam is believed to be 16 MP which is decent enough to capture quality images. While the back camera may come with a 20 MP camera resolution. Both the back and front cameras are alleged to sport a LED flash that provides better lighting in dark settings. It may also display narrow edges that are similar to the Sony Xperia XA. These leaks surfaced together with the alleged hardware specifications for the Xperia C6 disclosed by the tech blog Nowhereelse. The blog has revealed many design leaks for the device since January.

In terms of the specifications, the Xperia C6 might come with a full HD display of 6 inches, equipped with a powerful Media Tek MT6755 processor clocked at 1.9 GHZ octa-core as well as a Mali-T680 GPU. The rumored device will allegedly be housing a 16 GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, and an expandable storage through a micro SD card.

As for the price and release date, Sony has not announced a release date yet for the Xperia C6. The price could be around 3450 RM in Malaysia (which converts to 1120 SGD, 39750 PHP, and 6230 HKD). As of writing, the existence of the device remains unconfirmed, so the mentioned specifications should be taken with a grain of salt. However, Sony may reveal more details about the Xperia C6 in the coming weeks and months ahead.
