Everyone’s talking about the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Every time a new Google phone comes out, there’s much abuzz about it. Although there’s more on the Pixel 3 XL, let’s look at its smaller twin – Google Pixel 3 and what we love about it.
Keeping in the 2018 fashion, the Google Pixel 3’s frame comes with a glass front and back with aluminium strip running down the perimeter. This clean exterior gives the Pixel 3 a premium look and overall neat look. Its textured rear maximizes grip while adding a two-toned matte look.
Honestly, the colours are nothing great. Their names, however, take the cake. Google Pixel 3 colour names are Clearly White, Just Black, and Not Pink. While the first two are self-explanatory, Not Pink is a rather beige shade with a mild-pink touch.
The glass frame on the rear of the Pixel 3 allows for wireless charging without hassle. If you’ve never had a wireless-charging phone, this is the one you need to get. There’s also fast-charging which is necessary for today’s instant-gratification generation. Battery capacity comes in with a 2915 Li-Po non-removable cell that keeps the Pixel 3 powered.
We’ve all been waiting anxiously for a water-resistant Google phone and here it is. IP68 water-resistance allows for the phone to be splashproof and generally immune to high levels of humidity. Generally, “IP68 water-resistant” means the phone can be underwater up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. We wouldn’t recommend that, however, for safety’s sake.
Unlike most smartphones in 2018, the Pixel 3 comes with only one rear camera. Although a surprise, there is a valid reason for this. Google has near-perfect camera software to be able to capture depth and sensitivity without the added lens.
To add on, the Pixel 3 camera’s AI captures multiple shots in the background that might be better than the first one. In the process, the AI eliminates occurrences such as a person blinking, a photobomb, or a blur movement. Think about all the beautiful pictures you can capture thanks to the smart software update.
Whether you go for the Pixel 3 XL or the regular Google Pixel 3 in Malaysia, you’re bound to have heaps of fun as this flagship phone is incredibly versatile. Google Pixel 3 price in Malaysia starts from RM3,600 online.
