Take a day trip out of the city and let your children see interact with elephants. Located at a small village in Lanchang, Pahang is the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary which is roughly a 2 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Many orphaned elephants are raised and given shelter here which is managed by the Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks. The sanctuary is open daily, 10:30am to 4:00pm.
