Achieve Starboy Status with H&M x The Weeknd

17 September 2017 | Jillian Cheong

With the success of the “Spring Icons” collection with fast-fashion retailer, H&M, Abel Tesfaye or better known as The Weeknd is dropping another collection this fall. Get excited till you can’t feel your face with 18 curated pieces featuring bomber jacket, jerseys, shirts, and trousers.

Earlier this month, the “Starboy” singer took to his Instagram giving his fans a sneak peek into his second collaboration with H&M’s Selected that is slated to hit the stores on September 28th. The photo shows Abel modelling one of the pieces from the collection. The satin varsity jacket worn features a popular fall shade which is dark purple. It is also adorned with a huge “W” on the left side of the apparel. While the back features an embroidered with a snake and jaguar motif. Also, do expect the XO insignia to be adorned on the apparels, similar to the ones in his Spring collection. The letterman jacket also made a short appearance in Lil Uzi Vert’s XO Tour Llif3 where The Weeknd can be seen donning it.

With the anticipation of the fall line, H&M’s Selected by The Weeknd venture is geared towards making a major impact on the year-end fashion market. The seasonal staples are designed perfectly to suit the Fall and Winter season. Abel’s foray into the fashion world is not something new and has played an important role in his appeal. Just last August, he designed a pair of military-inspired sneakers called the XO Parallel for Puma. Honing the XO aesthetic, the shoe is a blend of high-top kicks and military combat boots.

Abel is currently embarking on the third leg of his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall” tour. Do look out for the collection on the H&M online store so that you can emanate The Weeknd’s style.
