Everything that Strepsils in Malaysia Can Do for Your Throat

Whenever you feel that painful tingle in your throat, you don’t have to visit the clinic straight away. It may just be that you’re only experiencing symptoms of sore throat, flu, or other throat ailments. Why not go down to the nearest pharmacy or convenience store and buy some Strepsils lozenges to avoid spending money on clinic bills and prescription medicines? Strepsils lozenges may appear like a hard candy with its different flavors but they are able to treat your throat discomforts within a few days.

What is a sore throat and what causes it?

In a nutshell, the throat is an airway that allows you to breathe and swallow. The walls of the throat are protected by a layer of filters to single out any bacteria, viruses, and other irritants from the air. When the layer is not enough to filter all the irritants, it can trigger a sore throat which can lead to an infection.

A sore throat itself Is a sign that there is something wrong with the airway. It may be as serious as an infection or as mild as redness or swelling caused by pollution, cigarette smoke, vocal strains, and more. Sore throat is often accompanied by other symptoms as well, like muscle aches, headaches, and runny nose. You can always distance yourself from being exposed to the causes of sore throats and other throat discomforts by wearing a mask in a polluted area, quit smoking cigarettes, improve your diet, and drink lots of water.

Treating a sore throat with Strepsils lozenges

You should always consider taking Strepsils lozenges whenever you feel like you are about to contract symptoms of sore throats. When compared to non-medicated lozenges, Strepsils will, of course, be able to treat the discomforts better due to their active ingredients. It guarantees clinical relief unlike other non-medicated lozenges or sweets. In fact, some sweets or non-medicated lozenges might irritate your throat even more, due to their high levels of sugar and artificial flavorings.

Bear in mind that when taking Strepsils to heal your sore throat, try to avoid drinking alcohol, spicy foods, or other meals that could further irritate your throat. Try to keep on swallowing your saliva as it can be a natural lubricant to help soothe the throat. If any other steps fail, it’s time to take more Strepsils, preferably in stronger dosages.

What’s in a Strepsils lozenge?

All Strepsils are made with the same base formula. No matter what the flavors are, Strepsils lozenges will always contain primary active ingredients and inactive ingredients. The primary active ingredients in a Strepsils lozenge are dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, and some ascorbic acid or vitamin C. The inactive ingredients consist of menthol, tartaric acid, and propylene glycol.

Strepsils are made with gluten-free ingredients, so those who are allergic to gluten shouldn’t worry. If you’re also diabetic, perhaps opt for the sugar-free Strepsils like the Strepsils Strawberry Sugar-Free Lozenges, suitable for adults and children 6 years of age and above.

All the different Strepsils flavors

Strepsils has an impressive array of lozenges in different flavors meant to treat different kinds of throat discomforts. What you should do first is determine what type of throat discomfort you’re experiencing. If it’s painful for you to swallow, you might have an irritated, inflamed, or swollen throat. If you feel slight phlegm, it might mean that you’re about to catch a cold or flu.
