Korean Wave superstar Lee Min Ho of Boys Over Flowers and Heirs fame makes his Chinese film debut in the globe-trotting comedic action thriller Bounty Hunters. The China-Korea co-production is helmed by Korean director Shin Tae Ra, who carved a niche in action comedies with his previous two films My Girlfriend is an Agent and Runway Cop. Lee Min Ho is joined by Wallace Chung (Three), Tiffany Tang (MBA Partners), Karena Ng (Wong Ka Yan) and Fan Siu Wong (Ip Man) to form a team of bounty hunters who fight against terrorists. San (Lee Min Ho) and Yo (Wallace Chung) work as bodyguards-for-hire in Hong Kong, but business isn't exactly booming for these bumbling buddies. Jet Li tries something new with Hitman, an action comedy with a surprisingly charming performance from the action superstar! Fu (Jet Li) is an ex-soldier whose honesty and goodness is a little unusual for someone so adept at acrobatic kung-fu fighting. When a low-rent triad (Eric Tsang) discovers Fu's fighting prowess, he entreats the gentle tough guy to help him score a 100 million dollar bounty placed on the "King of Assassins," who just offed a high-ranking Japanese crimelord. But with such a large sum of cash up for grabs, hitmen of all shapes and sizes appear out of the woodwork to claim the reward for themselves! Factoring into the mess are Simon Yam as a dapper cop assigned to chase the multiplying hitmen, and cute Gigi Leung as Jet Li's adorable love interest. Director Stephen Tung intercuts the laughs with finely-choreographed action sequences, and the ace Hong Kong stars provide necessary charm and charisma. Hitman is a decidedly different, and wildly entertaining action comedy!

In 1980, Interpol agent Lung (Sammo Hung) busts a drug ring. As revenge, the drug cartel orders Madame Rose to kill Lung's family. Only two make it out of the massacre alive: Lung and his five-year-old daughter Wen Ching. Lung escapes, but Wen Ching is captured, brainwashed and trained by Madame Rose to become Phoenix (Jennifer Tse), one of her assassins stationed around the globe. 15 years later, Lung is brought to assist a case involving the murder of five drug lords, whose assassinations were ordered by Madame Rose. Kam & Ronson Enterprises Co Ltd Dainipponjin (VCD) (Hong Kong Version)

Every year, Japan throws out one or two oddball films that cause critics the world over to scratch their heads and clap their hands vigorously. Dainipponjin (a.k.a. Big Man Japan) is one of those films, except even by Japanese Cinema standards, it's in a category all its own. Popular manzai comedian Matsumoto Hitoshi - billed by the deliberately misspelled name Matumoto Hitosi - directs and stars in this giant-sized, singularly bizarre comedy. Matsumoto spent five years preparing for this debut feature, and it was certainly time well spent because Dainipponjin is as wildly imaginative, outlandish, and insane as they come. A mockumentary about a loser superhero, Dainipponjin takes an absurd premise and runs with it, presenting ridiculous characters, outrageous storylines, and over-the-top CGI in completely deadpan fashion. Hilarious beyond words, Dainipponjin is madcap comedy at its most genius. Dai Saito (Matsumoto Hitoshi) may look like your average middle-aged chump, but he's actually a superhero. When electrocuted, Dai Saito transforms into the gigantic, boxer-wearing Dai Nipponjin, doing battle against unsavory super-sized monsters like Jumpy Baddie, Baby Baddie, and of course Smelly Baddie. Saving Japan over and over again is all well and good, but Dai Saito doesn't get much in return. Estranged from his ex-wife and daughter, he ekes out a boring life with a stray cat in a rundown house, waiting for the Department of Defense to call him to superhero action (for middling pay). All his battles are broadcasted on television, but the public couldn't care less for his patently unstylish look and his neighbors all-out hate him. With plummeting TV ratings and bleak prospects ahead, can this superhero save himself?

Casshern director Kiriya Kazuaki returns with the highly anticipated Goemon, a full-blown period action epic that matches the visionary ambition and aesthetic of his first film. Produced by J-horror giant Ichise Takashige, Goemon brings together a score of familiar stars and even more familiar characters for a grand old adventure in feudal Japan. Eguchi Yosuke (Children of the Dark) leads the pack as eponymous folk hero Ishikawa Goemon, the Japanese answer to Robin Hood, along with a star-studded cast - Osawa Takao, Hirosue Ryoko, Kaname Jun, Okuda Eiji, Ibu Masato, Terajima Susumu, Gori, Tamayama Tetsuji, and Sato Takeru to name a few - essaying various historical and fictional figures. Kiriya Kazuaki makes everything larger than life with fast-speed action, uncanny costumes and set design, and the eye-boggling visuals and special effects that made Casshern and now Goemon such a spectacular cinematic experience. Warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Okuda Eiji) rises to power in the late 16th century after the assassination of his lord Oda Nobunaga. In these chaotic times, chivalrous bandit Goemon (Eguchi Yosuke) rises as a hero among commoners, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. In one of his many escapades, he steals a box from a merchant, and passes it off to a street urchin (Fukasawa Arashi). But this turns out to be no ordinary box as warlord Toyotomi's right-hand man Ishida (Kaname Jun) soon sends ninja and childhood friend Saizo (Osawa Takao) after Goemon. What's more, a legendary ninja Hattori Hanzo (Terajima Susumu), under the orders of Hideyoshi's rival Tokugawa Ieyasu (Ibu Masato), also join the fray, leading to a swordfighting free-for-all for the box and the secret that lies within.

Produced by Oxide Pang, the 2005 Thai thriller The Remaker is, appropriately enough, a remake of Pang's own 1997 debut feature Who is Running?. Directed by Mona Nahm (Be Very Quiet), the intriguing film revolves around two people whose trespasses from past lives tie them together in the present in a deadly karmic cycle. Tom (Andrew Gregson) drives his car off a bridge, but when he wakes up in the hospital after the accident, he is perfectly fine. Instead, the woman who saved him, Pim (Piyada Akaraseranee), suddenly falls into a coma. Soon, Tom begins to experience flashbacks to his previous life, gradually revealing his connections to Pim. As the unfinished story of the past plays out in the present, Tom and Pim must find a way to undo their karma before it's too late.

First-time director Cheng Wei Hao scored a major hit with the atmospheric horror film The Tag-Along. The film draws its inspiration from an unsettling 1998 incident involving a mysterious little girl dressed in red who was caught on video following a group of hikers in the mountains. Called mosien, these creeping spirits are forest-dwelling ghosts that take the form of small children or monkeys, and prey upon a person's hidden guilt and fears. The highest-grossing Taiwan horror film in over a decade, The Tag-Along offers more than scares. Cheng Wei Hao touches upon themes of love, duty, family and the environment while telling a terrifying and uniquely haunting tale. Always-busy real estate agent Wei (Huang He) finds his life upended when his grandmother is taken by the demonic mosien and spirited away to the mountains. In investigating her disappearance, Wei discovers that he's left behind broken promises and dreams in his path to adulthood and his growing fear and guilt impel the mosien to make him their next victim. With Wei taken, his girlfriend Yi Chun (Tiffany Hsu) finds herself next in line. To solve the riddle of the mosien and save Wei from a dark fate, Yi Chun must confront her fears as well as the hidden secrets that threaten to derail her life.

Bruce Lee achieved international superstardom with his blockbuster martial arts film Enter the Dragon! Bruce Lee stars as a Shaolin Monk named Lee, who's hired by British Intelligence to journey to the island fortress of an evil drug lord named Han (Shih Kien). Luckily, Han is holding a martial arts tournament, providing the martial arts-ready Lee with the perfect cover to infiltrate the island. Lee meets up with a variety of would-be kung-fu champions, including conman Roper (John Saxon), and afro-sporting king of cool Williams (Jim Kelly). Ultimately, Lee must face off against an army of foes, and then finally Han, in a hall-of-mirrors showdown that's since become film legend! Stunning locations, a classic Lalo Schifrin musical score, and a healthy dose of Bruce Lee's trademark philosophy add to the proceedings, but it's Lee's powerful kung-fu screen presence that proves most memorable. Released worldwide after Bruce Lee's tragic death, Enter the Dragon is essential martial arts cinema that thrills and entertains, but also serves as a bittersweet reminder of what might have been.

Despite making a splash in 1999 with Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, Okiura Hiroyuki stepped away from the director's chair for over a decade. Now, he has finally reunited with Production I.G. with A Letter to Momo, a gentle fantasy comedy about a teenage girl s friendship with three kind goblins. The creator of the original story concept and the film's storyboards, Okiura worked closely with illustrator Ando Masashi (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) and art director Ono Hiroshi (Kiki's Delivery Service) on the film's hand-drawn animation design. However, A Letter to Momo is also more intimate than the typical Ghibli fantasy, focusing on the bittersweet emotional journey of its heroine to get over the death of her father. After the death of her father, 13-year-old Momo is forced to move to her mother's old family home on Shio Island. Left with only the beginning of an unfinished letter from her father, Momo has been trying to decipher the meaning of the words while secretly resenting herself for their final argument before his death. One day, Momo starts to notice things going missing and strange noises around the house. During her investigation, she discovers that the noises are caused by three goblins, led by Iwa (voiced by Nishi Toshiyuki). After getting over her initial fear of the three, they end up forming a special friendship that helps Momo get over her grief.

Jackie Chan completists all need to check out Cannonball Run, the Hong Kong superstar's 1981 shot at crossover Hollywood stardom! A packed cast of Hollywood names, including Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Roger Moore and Farrah Fawcett, play frontmen for the supporting Chan, who does his action-comedy bit as a Japanese car racer out to win the "Cannonball Run", a cross-country car race that's as hilarious and action-packed as it is illegal. Running engineer on Chan's souped-up Subaru is none other than Hong Kong comedy master Michael Hui, who brings his deadpan comedy genius to the table. Jackie Chan is only given one real fight sequence, but what a sequence it is! He gets to beat up a group of Hell's Angels (led by Easy Rider Peter Fonda) in a scene that's vintage Jackie Chan. As for the rest of the film, it's sexy, silly, madcap stuff that ran wild at the American box-office in the early eighties. Still, for fans of Jackie Chan - and probably Burt Reynolds - Cannonball Run still qualifies as a must see.

Sensitively depicting the heartbreaking coming-of-age journey of two isolated youths, Somewhere I Have Never Travelled travels much farther than its simple story suggests. The picturesque location and beautiful cinematography and art direction lend a whimsical tone to the bleakly realistic woes of the protagonists who are impressively brought to life by the newcomer leads, former One Million Star contestant Lin Po Hung and child actresses Yo Hsin and Li Yun Yun. TV star Wasir Chou (Fighting Spirit) and veterans Mei Fang, Li Yong Feng, and Lin Mei Shiu appear in supporting roles.

Liu Ye, Zhang Hanyu and Huang Bo are the eponymous heroes of The Chef, The Actor, The Scoundrel, a wartime comedy-drama from director Guan Hu (Cow). Set during the Sino-Japanese War in a Beijing ravaged by war, famine and plague, the film takes place mostly in an inn with four everyday folks and their two Japanese captives. The entertaining, shape-shifting story of comedy and espionage gradually reveals a labyrinthine battle of wits and masquerade among various parties with divergent motives and secrets. A desperate Scoundrel (Huang Bo) tries to rob two Japanese travelers, but a Chef (Liu Ye) captures them first and holds them hostage in his Japanese restaurant. The Chef, his mute wife (Liang Jing, Design of Death), the Scoundrel and a rakish opera Actor (Zhang Hanyu) who works at the restaurant argue over what to do with the captives. When they learn the captives are actually scientists who have developed a vaccine for cholera, they agree to steal the vaccine formula and then sell it off for big money. Making the scientists spill their secrets, however, is easier said than done, especially when they also have to hide the captives from the Japanese army and some suspicious detectives. Meanwhile, the Chef, the Actor and the Scoundrel also may not be who they appear to be.

He was many things to many people - a dashing warrior king, filled with ambition, courage and the arrogance of youth, leading his vastly outnumbered forces against the massive Persian armies... a son desperately longing for the approval of his stern, battle-scarred father, torn and conflicted by his mother's legacy... a relentless conqueror who never lost a battle and drove his soldiers to the very edges of the Known World... a visionary whose dreams, deeds and destiny echo through eternity, helping to shape the face of the world as we know it today. He was all that and more. He was Alexander the Great. Oliver Stone's Alexander is based on the true story of one of history's most luminous and influential leaders (Colin Farrell) - a man who had conquered 90% of the known world by the age of 25. Alexander led his virtually invincible Greek and Macedonian armies through 22,000 miles of sieges and conquests in just eight years, and by the time of his death at the age of 32 had forged an empire unlike any the world had ever seen. The film takes a bold, honest look at Alexander's life and his relationships with his mother, Olympias (Angelina Jolie), his father Philip (Val Kilmer), his lifelong friend and battle commander Hephaistion (Jared Leto), Roxane, his ambitious and beautiful Bactrian wife (Rosario Dawson), and his trusted general and confidant Ptolemy (Anthony Hopkins). Set in Alexander's pre-Christian world of social customs and morals far different from today's, the film explores a time of unmatched beauty and unbelievable brutality, of soaring ideals and staggering betrayals. This edition also comes with special features such as the making-of, interviews, trailers, etc.

Hong Kong superstars Leslie Cheung and Andy Lau clash in Tsui Hark's big-screen adaptation of the classic TVB drama The Bund! Directed by Poon Man Kit (To Be Number One), the film revisits the dangerous underworld in 1930s Shanghai where heroes and villains fight for power, women, and honor, with Leslie and Andy taking on the roles played by Chow Yun Fat and Ray Lui in the original. Condensing the essence of a TV series into a feature-length movie is certainly no small challenge, and Shanghai Grand has made some daring changes to the plots and characters that make it fresh even for fans of the 1980 series. Having Tung Wai onboard as action choreographer ensures exciting gunplay action, and the period action drama boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Ning Jing (In the Heat of the Sun), Wu Hsing Kuo (Green Snake), Lau Shun, singer Amanda Lee, and Korean actor Jung Woo Sung (Reign of Assassins). Enlisted in Japanese-occupied Taiwan, patriotic young man Hui Man Keung (Leslie Cheung) is dispatched to fight in the northeastern China. In a mission gone awry, he barely escapes from an ambush that leaves all of his fellow rebels dead, only to be saved in Shanghai by small-time gangster Ding Lik (Andy Lau). The two become sworn brothers, joining hands in a bid to make a name for themselves in the gang world of Shanghai. However, their friendship is tested when both Lik and Keung fall for Fung Ching Ching (Ning Jing), the daughter of powerful tycoon Fung King Yiu (Wu Hsing Kuo). A ruthless crime lord in secret, Fung manipulates the two rising stars into working for him. But when Keung finds out that Fung is the man behind the ambush on the anti-Japanese rebels, he must choose between his love for Ching Ching and his loyalty to the fallen comrades...

Back for more! Aces Go Places goes international with some surprising guest stars, as well as all the returning familiar faces. This time out, King Kong (Sam Hui) is enlisted by Queen Elizabeth and a faux James Bond (Neil Connery, the brother of Sean Connery) to steal the crown jewels from the HK Police. However, the job is really an elaborate scam, and it pits King Kong against "Best Partner" and pal Kodojak (Karl Maka). As if King Kong's betrayal wasn't enough of a problem, Kodojak has to deal with marriage with Inspector "Hot Tongue" Ho (Sylvia Chang), and parenthood with his new rugrat, Baldy Jr. (Cyrus Wong). Luckily, an American secret agent (Peter Graves of the Mission: Impossible TV series!) shows up get them on the right track. More slapstick and sublime silliness ensue, as Aces Go Places 3: Our Man from Bond Street kicks into ridiculous high gear. Watch for the opening highlight of the film, and perhaps even the entire series: King Kong battling with Jaws (Richard Kiel) and Oddjob (Harold Sakata) from the James Bond films! It doesn't get funnier - or perhaps weirder - than Aces Go Places 3! Directed by Tsui Hark.

Adapted from a novel by the famous Japanese writer Edogawa Rampo, Face to Face (a.k.a. The Snow) is a Hong Kong-Japan co-production featuring Tanihara Shosuke and Ito Misaki from Japan and also Hong Kong actor Stephen Fung. Director Casey Chan, a collaborator with Stephen Fung since The Poet, changes the setting of the story from Kyushu in southern Japan to the far North where the land is covered by snow. A lethargic and vast landscape better suits the film's eerie atmosphere by contrasting shocking scenes against the quiet winter. Stephen Fung portrays a student born into a rich Chinese family in Japan. His best friend, a talented but poor Japanese student (Tanihara Shosuke), lives with him in his house. One day they meet a gorgeous girl (Ito Misaki) and both fall in love with her. The rich Chinese young man, soon after becoming her husband, dies in a skiing accident... A thrilling film filled with horror - and the dark side of human nature may the most horrible of all!

What follows is wall-to-wall kung-fu action as Sai Wing takes on wave after wave of bad guys while awaiting his master's return! The Magnificent Butcher features some brilliantly staged Hong Kong style-action, and it's performed with remarkable grace and agility by the incomparable Sammo Hung. Third time's the charm as the Kung Fu Mahjong franchise returns for another round with Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel. Directed by Bosco Lam, the film features the usual suspects - television star Roger Kwok (Square Pegs) who skipped out on the sequel but returns for the third film, kung fu duo Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu, and, of course, writer and producer Wong Jing. Kung Fu Mahjong 3 bears no connection to the previous films save for the cast and the love for the tiles. Roger Kwok is supported by a welcome line-up of faces not usually seen on the big screen including TVB starlet and former Miss Hong Kong Shirley Yeung in her film debut, veteran comedic actor Ha Yu, ATV actress Patricia Liu, and stylish ATV actor Ricky Chan Bo Yuen (Confession of Pain). Comedic mainstays DJ Sammy, Wong Yat Fei, and Nat Chan also wander in for some humorous hijinks. Like the previous two films, Kung Fu Mahjong 3 - The Final Duel is light, energetic, and hilarious, providing plenty of good old harmless fun. As the son of the legendary Uncle Man (Ha Yu), suave mahjong expert Ken (Roger Kwok) is the de-facto successor to his father's mahjong business and gambling title. It seems love is in the air for both father and son, as Uncle Man saunters in with his new young wife Sophie (Patricia Liu) and Ken meets the charming Nancy (Shirley Yeung). The good times quickly run dry though when it turns out that Nancy is a bad luck magnet who brings calamity to all she comes in contact with. Stricken with some serious bad luck, Ken just can't stop losing. Meanwhile, the cunning Sophie, working in cahoots with rival Bowie (Ricky Chan), tries to usurp the family business by challenging Ken to a high-stakes mahjong match. Can Ken overcome his losing streak in time to save the business?

Before going international, John Woo stunned Hong Kong movie fans with his A Better Tomorrow in 1986, which opened an era of heroic bloodshed movies in Hong Kong cinema, weaving action, melodrama, and strong storylines together in a unique style. Following the success of A Better Tomorrow, Woo created The Killer, also featuring the famed Chow Yun Fat as a killer who is not at all cold-blooded. The film also features veteran actors Danny Lee and Kenneth Tsang as cops, as well as renowned singer Sally Yeh. The chemistry between John Woo and Chow Yun-Fat continues to interweave the theme of brotherly love into an intriguing plot. The Killer illustrates the dilemma of upholding principles, sacrificing friends and betraying one's conscience. Woo delivers a combination of high impact action spliced in with dramatic slow motion shots, showing his unique cinematic style and flair. This stylish and action-packed film is just as acclaimed as A Better Tomorrow, winning the film Best Director and Best Film Editing at the 9th Hong Kong Film Awards.

We leave in order to return. Writers-directors Yan Yan Mak (Butterfly) and Clement Cheng (Gallants) held this value close to them for Merry-Go-Round, a visually lush urban drama about going home and finding your roots. Commissioned by Hong Kong's premier charity organization to commemorate its 140th anniversary, Merry-Go-Round follows three lost souls in an emotional story that spans generations and continents. After extensive research, Mak and Cheng chose to set their story in a "coffin home" owned by the organization, which houses coffins before family members can have them shipped for burials in their hometowns. Led by Ella Koon (The Shopaholics) taking two roles in a commanding performance, the film's eclectic cast also includes Nora Miao (Way of the Dragon), Teddy Robin (Gallants), Lawrence Chou (Truth or Dare: 6th Floor Rear Flat), and Denise "HOCC" Ho. Cinematographer Jason Kwan (Love in a Puff) brilliantly captures the allure of Hong Kong and the seaside coffin home with gorgeous images that complements the melancholic acoustic score by Hong Kong independent musician Ketchup. Merry-Go-Round was also one of the two closing films at the 2010 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. Running from her family, terminal illness patient and drug addict Merry (Ella Koon) goes to Hong Kong from San Francisco to look for her internet friend Allen (Lawrence Chou). After being ignored by Allen, Merry wanders her way to the seaside Tung Wah Coffin Home and gets a job working for Uncle Hill (Teddy Robin), the home's caretaker. Meanwhile, Allen's aunt Eva (Nora Miao), a Chinese medicine shop owner, also makes her way from San Francisco to Hong Kong to ensure that Allen doesn't sell the family's medicine shop in Hong Kong. In her hometown, she begins to remember her love affair decades ago with a businessman's son (Lu Yu Lai). Blu-ray Edition comes with directors' commentary and The Story behind Merry-Go-Round.

From producer Wei Te Sheng and his Seediq Bale star Umin Boya (making his film directorial debut) comes Kano, a rousing tale of courage, beating the odds and good sportsmanship. Based on the inspiring true story of Taiwan's greatest baseball team, Kano chronicles the journey of a small-town high school baseball team from underdogs to champions during the Japanese colonial period. Leading a young cast that includes breakout star Tsao Yu Ning, Nagase Masatoshi (Twilight Samurai) gives a commanding performance as a stern baseball coach who leads and inspires the team into history. Nominated for six Golden Horse Awards (including Best Picture) and the winner of the festival's Audience Award, Kano is an inspiring blockbuster epic about the glory of sports. Kano is set in the 1930s in the city of Chiayi (or Kagi at the time), known for a flourishing agricultural industry. However, the baseball team of Kagi Agriculture and Forestry Public School (abbreviated as "Kano") comprised of students of Taiwanese, aboriginal and Japanese origins suffers from a losing record and a lack of motivation. Newly arrived from Japan to teach bookkeeping at the school, Kondo (Nagase Masatoshi) is recruited to become the team's new coach. A former baseball player who has quit the game for good, Kondo eventually agrees and puts the team on a strict training regimen. Inspired by their new coach's enthusiasm, the boys start winning games with their eyes set on the Koshien tournament, the Holy Grail of Japanese high school baseball. This edition includes making of, audio commentary and trailers. It also comes with a t-shirt.
