Intercontinental Video Umizaru Brave Hearts (2012) (VCD) (Hong Kong Version)
RM 12.80

In the post-credit scene of the first Umizaru film, the filmmakers foreshadowed that rescue diver Senzaki and his team of Sea Monkeys will be on a perilous rescue mission involving a jet plane crashing into Tokyo Bay. That scenario becomes the set up for Brave Hearts Umizaru, the fourth film of the blockbuster film series! Star Ito Hideaki once again dons the wet suit as heroic rescuer Senzaki, returning along with Kato Ai as his long-suffering wife Kanna. However, the focus is being shifted to Sato Ryota's longtime sidekick Yoshioka, whose romance with flight attendant Mika (Naka Riisa) forms the emotional core of the film this time around. As they have done throughout the series, director Hasumi Eichiro and screenwriter Fukuda Yasushi have created another gripping, emotional blockbuster that became one of the top-grossing Japanese films in 2012. Two years have passed since the oil platform accident in The Last Message. Heroic rescue diver Senzaki Daisuke (Ito Hideaki) and longtime teammate Yoshioka (Sato Ryuta) have since transferred to the front line as members of a special rescue unit. While Senzaki and his wife Kanna (Kato Ai) are about to welcome a second child into their happy family, Yoshioka has also found love with flight attendant Mika (Naka Riisa). One day, Mika's Tokyo-bound flight catches mechanical trouble, putting over 300 souls in danger as the pilots attempt an emergency landing on water. Despite the plane landing safely, Senzaki, Yoshioka and their fellow sea monkeys only have 20 minutes to get everyone out before it sinks into water.

Intercontinental Video Behind The Yellow Line (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version) at 167.20 MYR from YesAsia
Intercontinental Video Behind The Yellow Line (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)
RM 167.20
YesAsia
Directed by Taylor Wong (The Three Swordsmen), wistful 1984 romance Behind the Yellow Line is an early and memorable effort from Hong Kong superstars Leslie Cheung, Maggie Cheung, and Anita Mui. Only in their early 20s, Maggie Cheung and Anita Mui, who won Best Supporting Actress at the 4th Hong Kong Film Awards for her performance, were both newcomers at the time, and this film was an important stepping stone in their career. A gentle and photogenic drama about young love, chance encounters, and uncertain fate, Behind the Yellow Line is typical of 1980s romances in narrative and style, but it stands out as an affecting time capsule, capturing three of Hong Kong's greatest and most-loved stars at the prime of their youth. On the way to his first day of work, young civil servant Paul (Leslie Cheung) encounters two very different women on the subway: girl-next-door Monica (Maggie Cheung) who recently ended a painful affair with a married man and the sassy and wealthy Anita (Anita Mui) who takes an immediate liking to Paul. Crossing paths everyday during their subway commute, Paul and Monica take the gradual steps from strangers to lovers. Anita, however, isn't about to give up on Paul so easily, and Monica wavers in the face of overtures from her ex-boyfriend, putting the young lovers' relationship on the rocks.

Legendary filmmaker Zhang Yimou makes his first foray into Hollywood with the period fantasy epic The Great Wall. The China-U.S. co-production teams Matt Damon with Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau and Chinese actress Jing Tian (Special ID) in a spectacular battle against mythical monsters on the Great Wall of China during the Northern Song Dynasty. A massive undertaking involving over 1,300 cast and crew members from 37 countries, China's most expensive film ever made applies the auteur's visual flair and direction to a commercially minded action-adventure with a star-studded international cast. The Great Wall's sprawling cast includes award-winning actor Zhang Hanyu (Operation Mekong), Hollywood actors Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man), and a who's who lineup of young trending stars, including Lu Han (Time Raiders), Lin Gengxin (Sword Master), Eddie Peng (Operation Mekong), Huang Xuan (Blind Massage), Cheney Chen (Tiny Times), Zheng Kai (So Young) and TFBOYS member Karry Wang, in supporting roles. Mercenaries William (Matt Damon) and Tovar (Pedro Pascal) have traveled the Silk Road to China in search of the valuable black powder that will bring them great fortune at home. While traversing the desert, they get attacked by a mysterious beast at night and manage to slay it. Soon after, the two come upon the heavily garrisoned Great Wall and are taken captive by the Nameless Order of the Chinese army. Led by General Shao (Zhang Hanyu), Commander Lin Mae (Jing Tian) and strategist Wang (Andy Lau), the extraordinarily disciplined Nameless Order exists solely to defend the Great Wall from the Taotie, creatures that rise from the earth every 60 years and attack in giant hordes. If the Wall falls, so too does China.

Intercontinental Video Cars (Hong Kong Version)

Talking cars rediscover the quirky originality of middle America in this inventive animated film from the folks at Pixar (Toy Story, Finding Nemo). Owen Wilson does the voice of arrogant rookie racecar Lightning McQueen, who winds up stranded in the small desert town of Radiator Springs on his way west to a big showdown. Sentenced to community service after literally tearing up the road in a high-speed chase, at first all Lightning can think of is getting back to the world of corporate sponsorship and merchandising tie-ins he loves so well. Eventually, however, the eccentric residents of Radiator Springs begin to grow on him, especially the attractive lady Porsche lawyer (Bonnie Hunt) and a rusty old tow-truck (Larry the Cable Guy). There's also a hippie Volkswagen (George Carlin), a low-riding T-bird (Cheech Martin) and Paul Newman as the gruff, curmudgeonly Doc Hudson, the town judge who harbors his own checkered-flag past. The story may not be new, but Pixar's precision-engineered animation brilliantly illuminates the town and its surrounding cactus-studded vistas down to the minutest detail, and director/writer John Lasseter keeps the film's satiric wit and generous heart in perfect alignment. Adults in the audience should appreciate the film's celebration of old-school American eccentricity, and the kids will dig all the thunderous grit and high-octane wheel burning. Randy Newman composed the score; James Taylor sings one of the songs. Jan Lamb, Eric Kot, and Karena Lam voice the Cantonese track of the movie.

Intercontinental Video Initial D (2005) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)
RM 132.90

First created by Shigeno Shuichi in comic form in 1996, and then adapted into a smash hit anime, Initial D has finally been adapted into a live-action motion picture - and it's now available on DVD! Directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak (the Infernal Affairs trilogy), the film stars Jay Chou as an 18-year old boy who awakens to the thrill of illegal street racing. Popular Hong Kong actors Edison Chen, Shawn Yue, and Jordan Chan co-star as fellow street racers, and multiple Best Actor award winner Anthony Wong and singer Kenny Bee shore up the cast. Initial D opened in June in Hong Kong to instant blockbuster status, grossing over HK$37 million in just 4 weeks time to become the 2005's top-grossing movie thus far. Taiwanese pop icon Jay Chou makes his acting debut as Takumi Fuijiwara, a high-school kid who delivers tofu every morning for his father Bunta (Anthony Wong). During his daily delivery, Takumi unknowingly sharpens up his racing skills by speeding through notorious racing spot Mt. Akina, where some of Japan's greatest street racers venture for glory. After Takumi accidentally bests Night Kids leader Takeshi Nakazato (Shawn Yue) on Akina's downhill, he begins to attract the attention of other street racers. But Takumi is more than just another wannabe racer. Years of delivering tofu in his father's Toyota AE86 Trueno have made him an incredibly skilled driver, and not even Takumi really knows just how good he is! With breathtaking car-racing scenes, a hip soundtrack, and an all-star cast, Initial D is the Hong Kong Cinema blockbuster fans have been waiting for! This release comes with the English, Cantonese, and Mandarin audio versions of the film.

Intercontinental Video Girl With The Long Hair
RM 62.10

From director Ho Fan, who ironically played the chaste monk in the Shaw Brothers Monkey King films, comes Girl With The Long Hair, a sexy travelogue complete with sand, surf, and plenty of skin. Wai Wang is a harried husband married to the blind Lau Wei Yu, who on a trip to Pattaya, Thailand, decides to chuck his fidelity for some time on the sand - and between the sheets - with the impossibly sexy and frequently unclothed Dana. It's easy for him to deceive his wife - after all, she's blind! But should such a sly sleazebag get away with his wandering ways? The highlight of this softcore guilty pleasure is undoubtedly Dana, the tan and glam object of Wai Wang, and probably every other male in the cinema at the time. One look at the Girl With Long The Hair and it'd be hard to keep a guy from straying - blind wife or not! A politically-incorrect, sexy tease as only the Shaw Brothers could bring you!

After re-imagining Shaw Brothers' Blood Brothers with The Warlords, director Peter Chan steps back to become the producer for another Shaw Brothers-influenced venture. This time, Hong Kong blockbuster director Andrew Lau (Young and Dangerous, Infernal Affairs) takes the helm for The Guillotines, an explosive action spectacular that's also an emotionally powerful drama about brotherhood and the price of waging war in the name of peace. In addition to the legendary flying weapon, the "guillotines" in the title also refers to a secret assassination squad in the Qing Dynasty out to capture a dangerous rebel only known to the world as Wolf. Led by superstar Huang Xiaoming (The Message, Ip Man 2) as Wolf, The Guillotines's cast of popular young stars from the Greater China region also includes Ethan Ruan (Manga), Shawn Yue (Motorway), pop star Chris Lee (Bodyguards and Assassins), Jing Boran (The Bullet Vanishes) and Wen Zhang (Love is Not Blind). Wielding a powerful flying weapon that can decapitate any enemy in a split second, the Guillotines is an assassination squad controlled only by the Emperor Qian Long (Wen Zhang). Led by Leng (Ethan Ruan), the Guillotines' latest mission is to rescue team member Musen (Chris Li) and capture Wolf (Huang Xiaoming), a dangerous rebel leader who managed to elude custody. With palace official Haidu (Shawn Yue) tagging along, the team follows Wolf to a village. However, the team doesn t know that Qian Long is also planning to eliminate them in the name of modernization. This edition includes making of and trailers.

Tai Chi presents a new breed of Chinese kung fu movies like you've never seen it before! Producer Chen Kuo Fu (Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame) and director Stephen Fung (House of Fury) audaciously attempt to rejuvenate period kung fu films by fusing the gist of the genre with elements of comic book, video game and even Victorian steampunk. Envisioned as a big-budget trilogy, Tai Chi tells the classical story of a martial arts master's journey from zero to hero, and its first two installments neatly named Tai Chi 0 and Tai Chi Hero, respectively were produced and subsequently released back-to-back in 3D. Starring Tony Leung Ka Fai, Eddie Peng, Angelababy and William Feng, Tai Chi 0 introduces newcomer Yuan Xiaochao (formerly an Olympic gold medal-winning wushu athlete) as the male lead, with special appearances of Shu Qi, Daniel Wu and many other star cameos to round out the stellar cast. Behind the camera, the innovative hybrid kung fu comedy boasts over-the-top fight scenes choreographed by legendary action director Sammo Hung as well as stylish production design from Oscar-winning art director Timmy Yip, both of whom earning a Golden Horse Awards nomination for their groundbreaking works here. Set in the chaotic early-19th century China, Tai Chi 0 follows martial arts prodigy Yang Luchan (Yuan Xiaochao), a goofy young man born with a special gift that, when triggered, turns him temporarily into an invincible fighter. Unfortunately, that untamed superpower is lethal for Luchan, and to save his life, he is advised to go to the Chen village to learn their school of tai chi. However, the villagers are forbidden to teach their kung fu to outsiders, and the hapless boy learns it the hard way when he tries to force his way in. Meanwhile, the eccentric village head Master Chen Changxing (Tony Leung Ka Fai) learns that their village is targeted for demolition in order to make way for the railway. He realizes that the key to defeating TROY No.1 the massive mechanical monster manned by the malevolent railway engineer Fang Zijing (Eddie Peng) lies in his daughter Yuliang (Angelababy) and Luchan... The Tai Chi Hero rises in the highly anticipated follow-up to Stephen Fung's ambitious kung fu action fantasy blockbus

An American news crew is sent to Burundi, Africa to capture the legendary crocodile Gustave, which stalks a local river in search of human prey. Embattled producer Tim Manfrey (Dominic Purcell), reporter Aviva Masters (Brooke Langton), and their cameraman Steven Johnson (Orlando Jones), plus two animal experts set, out on their crocodile hunt. Thanks to CGI work and the crocodile's larger-than-life size, Gustave's screentime provides some genuine action-packed thrills. However, human cruelty might turn out more gruesome than the killer crocodile, as a local warlord, nicknamed Little Gustave, demonstrates greater brutality than the creature that he is named after.
