Fuji TV Assassination Classroom The Movie (Blu-ray) (Standard Edition) (Japan Version)
RM 206.70
Hey! Say! JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke takes his first film leading role in the live-action adaptation of mega-popular manga Assassination Classroom. Written by Matsui Yusei, Assassination Classroom has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2012 and has sold over 10 million copies. The story begins when a mysterious creature destroys 70% of the moon and threatens to destroy the earth within the year. Strangely, the creature then offers to become the homeroom teacher of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's class 3E, notorious for being the home of the school's least academically-inclined students. In reaction to this, the world's leaders task class 3E with assassinating the creature, offering 10 billion as a reward for whomever succeeds.

Yamada plays Shiota Nagisa, a 3E student whose friendly exterior masks a dark and dangerous disposition. Physically unimposing and weak, Shiota nevertheless proves to possess the skills of an assassin. The film also stars veteran Shiina Kippei (The After-Dinner Mysteries) as 3E's P.E. teacher Tadaomi Karasuma, former Kara member Kang Ji Young as an assassin/foreign language teacher, and Suda Masaki (Daily Lives Of High School Boys), Yamamoto Maika (Kamen Teacher: The Movie), Taketomi Seika (Hot Road), Yuki Mio (Kami-sama no Iu Toori) and Uehara Miku (Kimi ni Todoke) as Shiota's fellow students. Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari voices Koro Sensei.

Fuji TV Norwegian Wood (Complete Edition) (2 Blu-ray + DVD) (Japan Version)
RM 253.40
After 23 years and millions of copies sold worldwide, Murakami Haruki's landmark novel Norwegian Wood finally hits the big screen with Vietnamese director Tran Anh Hung (Scent of the Green Papaya) at the helm. Working with famed Taiwanese cinematographer Lee Ping Bin (In the Mood For Love) and a top-notch design team, Tran creates a visually gorgeous world for his recreation of Japan during the tumultuous 1960s. The film's award-winning cinematography (2010 Asian Film Awards) and hypnotic score (by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood) serve as integral factors in visualizing Murakami's bittersweet tale about death, unrequited love, and sexual awakening.

Previously thought to be impossible for a cinematic adaptation, Murakami himself offered comments on the script during the pre-production process, making this a rare officially approved adaptation of the author's work. Despite the challenging material, Norwegian Wood managed to attract some of Japan's most talented young actors, including Matsuyama Kenichi (Death Note) as protagonist Watanabe, Kikuchi Rinko (Babel) as the fragile Naoko, and model Mizuhara Kiko as the outgoing Midori in an acclaimed film debut. One of the most anticipated films of 2010, the film was given a high-profile spot in the competition section of the Venice Film Festival.

Japan, late 1960s. After the suicide of his best friend Kizuki (Kora Kengo), Watanabe (Matsuyama Kenichi) goes out to Tokyo to attend university. By chance, he reunites with Kizuki's girlfriend Naoko (Kikuchi Rinko) in the city, bringing their dark past to the present. After spending one night together, Naoko suddenly suffers a mental breakdown and retreats to a hospital deep in the forest of Kyoto. While Watanabe continues to pine for the emotionally unstable mess that is Naoko, he also succumbs to the charm of outgoing classmate Midori (Mizuhara Kiko). Who will Watanabe choose in the end - Naoko the past, or Midori the future?

Complete Edition Blu-ray includes both the theatrical version and the 150-minute extended version of the film. It comes with extended making of documentaries, stage events, deleted scenes, and a collection of promotional materials.

Japan's most famous public prosecutor is back!

Popular Japanese TV and film franchise Hero returns to cinemas in 2015 with a new box office-topping mystery. First aired in 2001, Hero follows unorthodox public prosecutor Kuryu Kohei (Kimura Takuya). Known for eschewing the typical suit and tie in favor of jeans and an orange down jacket and impulsively purchasing infomercial gadgets, Kuryu's behavior often flummoxes his colleagues at a public prosecutor's office in Tokyo. However, his slacker appearance and attitude belie a brilliant investigative mind and compassionate heart, which help him crack one impossible case after another.

Directed by Suzuki Masayuki and scripted by Fukuda Yasushi, both regulars of the series, the 2015 Hero feature film continues on from the 2014 television series. Besides Kimura Takuya, Kitagawa Keiko returns as his assistant, as do fellow prosecutors Sugimoto Tetta, Hamada Gaku and Yoshida Yo. Matsu Takako, who did not appear in the 2014 season, makes her return to the series after an eight-year absence. This time, Kuryu and his colleagues try to solve a case that is linked to a foreign embassy. However, their investigation is hampered by extraterritoriality.

Written by Kusami Zubin and illustrated by Megumi Saburo, Fragile began serialization in Gekkan Afternoon in August 2014. The medical manga follows the professional exploits of Kishi Keiichiro, an eccentric and combative pathologist who is as terrible at social relationships as he is brilliant at diagnosing patients. His insensitivity and irreverent attitude regularly bring him to clash with fellow doctors, but it is precisely his stubborn dedication to delivering 100% accurate diagnoses that makes him one of the very best in his field.

Emi Takei co-stars as a young doctor who is inspired by Kishi to join the pathology department, but faces an uphill battle adjusting to her new field and superior. Nomura Shuhei is the sole lab technician of the pathology department, as he's the only one who can put up with Kishi, and Koyuki co-stars as a fellow doctor.

From Sakamoto Yuji, the screenwriter of the legendary 1991 drama Tokyo Love Story and recent hit titles like Mother, Matrimonial Chaos and Woman, comes the moving Fuji TV drama Itsuka kono Koi wo Omidashite Kitto Naiteshimau (a.k.a. Love That Makes You Cry). The bittersweet urban romance series realistically follows the struggles of six ordinary young adults Arimura Kasumi (Yokoso, Wagaya e), Kora Kengo (Hana Moyu), AAA's Nishijima Takahiro (Taiyo no Wana), Sakaguchi Kentaro (No Longer Heroine), Takahata Mitsuki (Mondai no Aru Restaurant) and Morikawa Aoi (Teddy Go!) trying to make something of themselves in a Tokyo full of both dreams and disillusions.

Soda Ren (Kora Kengo) is a sincere, hardworking boy from Fukushima who wants nothing more than to buy farmland for his grandfather. To achieve this dream, he heads to Tokyo and takes up work at a moving company, only to quickly learn that life in the city is neither easy nor profitable. Fuji TV Swing Girls (Blu-ray) (English Subtitled) (Japan Version)
RM 206.70
Get ready to swing! From the makers of Shall We Dance? and Waterboys comes Swing Girls, an inspirational zero-to-hero tale about a group of girls who find their rhythm - and then some! Tomoko (Ueno Juri) leads a group of bored girls stuck in remedial summer math class, who decide to ditch their boring teacher (Takenaka Naoto) to deliver lunches to the school brass band.

But the girls' extreme laziness causes the lunches to spoil, and soon nearly the entire brass band gets sick. The remaining member is Takuo (Hiraoka Yuto), who recruits Tomoko's classmate Sekiguchi (Motokariya Yuika) into the band, even though Sekiguchi's musical talents are entirely in question. But Tomoko and the other girls soon follow, partly to get out of math class, and partly because it's their fault that the entire band got sick in the first place! But there's a catch: nobody knows how to play a wind or brass instrument, much to the dismay of Takuo, who proposes that the girls play swing band jazz - and take their act all the way to a battle-of-the-bands finale! Will the girls find a way to swing like tested jazz musicians, or will they discover that maybe math isn't so bad?

Directed by Yaguchi Shinobu (Waterboys), Swing Girls struck a chord with audiences thanks to its feel-good emotions and energetic cast of young girls, and ranked eighth at the Japanese box office for 2004. Like the characters they play, many of the actors were strangers to their instruments when filming began, and learned to play as filming went on! Full of humor, heart, and more than a little satisfying irreverence, Swing Girls is a toe-tapping, crowd-pleasing good time at the movies!

For Galaxy Turnpike, he sets the action entirely in outer space at a burger joint along the space highway. SMAP's Katori Shingo (Bayside Shakedown: The Final) and Ayase Haruka (Our Little Sister) lead the ensemble cast of extraterrestrial characters.

In the year 2265, humanity has spread throughout the solar system, and situated next to Jupiter is a space colony called "Uzushio," which is home to a portion of a space highway that links to Earth. Once a buzzing area with numerous eateries, Uzushio's galaxy turnpike has seen business dwindle in recent years. Here in this dusty corner of the universe begins the story of Noa (Katori Shingo) and Noe (Ayase Haruka), the married proprietors of the fast-food restaurant Sandsand Burger.

Odoru Daisousasen was originally a TV drama about life at Wangan Precinct, a suburban neighborhood where its staff treats serving and protecting citizens more like an office job than a righteous calling. Its comedic take on policing and endearing cast of characters (led by Oda Yuji) proved to be a hit with audiences, spawning three highly-rated special one-off episodes and a hit award-winning film. The series has since become a cultural icon, with the film's sequel still holding the record as the highest-grossing live-action Japanese film ever. Intricately plotted by writer Kimizuka Ryuichi and stylishly directed by Motohiro Katsuyuki, Odoru Daisousasen the Movie now arrives on Blu-ray!

The Wangan Precinct thinks they already have plenty on their hands when they have to host the enormous investigation of the police vice-commissioner's kidnapping, but that's only the beginning. Over the course of three days, Aoshima (Oda Yuji) and his fellow cops will also have to take down a sick internet-based murderer, and a thief that can steal anywhere - including the police station. Join the Wangan Precinct and revisit where it all began.

First there was the popular 1997 Japanese television drama Odoru Daisosasen. Then came three television specials, and in 1998, the series came to the big screen in the form of the box office smash Bayside Shakedown. After that, there was the popular 2003 sequel Bayside Shakedown 2 and even a 2005 spin-off film, Negotiator Mashita Masayoshi. Now the popular cop franchise adds another winning installment to its ranks with The Suspect Muroi Shinji! Just like the earlier films in the series, The Suspect takes place in modern day Japan and revolves around the country's intricate, often serpentine police bureaucracy. However, this time the hero is Muroi Shinji (Yanagiba Toshiro), a stoic MPD chief investigator, who's definitely all business when it comes to dealing with matters of law.

In a cruel twist of fate, however, Muroi finds himself being arrested on conspiracy charges related to the use of excessive force against a murder suspect who ended up dead. Muroi discovers that he is a pawn in a shadowy power struggle originating from within the police department. He's also fully aware that he's got to watch his back against the money-grubbing lawyers representing the dead suspect and a no-nonsense prosecutor (Sano Shiro) looking to take the chief investigator down, no matter the cost! With only an inexperienced young lawyer (Tanaka Rena), his staunch ally Detective Kudo (Aikawa Sho), and plenty of average joe beat cops on his side, can Muroi clear his name? Find out in writer/director Kimizuka Ryoichi's winning new addition to the mega popular Bayside Shakedown saga!

In the original Ninkyo Helper television drama, a brutal yakuza thug finds his humanity after working in an elderly care facility under his new boss's orders. The 11-episode drama and the special one-off episode ended with hero Hikoichi looking to leave the crime world behind. Almost two years later, Hikoichi's story continues with Beautiful World, the feature length continuation of the drama. Like the series, the film continues to blend gritty gangster violence with a stinging critique of problems in Japanese society, particularly on its failure to fit the needs of an aging society. With the exception of SMAP's Kusanagi Tsuyoshi returning as Hikoichi and a cameo by original cast member Kuroki Meisa, Beautiful World brings together a new cast that includes Yasuda Narumi (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), Kaho and Kagawa Teruyuki (Rurouni Kenshin).

After the events of Ninkyo Helper, Hikoichi (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) has moved on from yakuza life and is trying to start a new life as a clerk in a convenience store. His sympathy for the elderly gets him in trouble when he lets an old man rob the store, causing him to serve time in prison. While there, the old man repays Hikoichi's kindness by telling him to see the Asahina Group if he ever gets into trouble. This new association brings Hikoichi back to the crime life, as he joins the Asahina Group and finds himself working in an elderly care home once again. The rundown home is filled with debt-ridden seniors who use their monthly social welfare money to repay their debts to the gang. However, local politician Teruo (Kagawa Teruyuki) is aiming to wipe out the criminal influence in the elderly care industry.

In 2007, Bayside Shakedown director Motohiro Katsuyuki brought Hollywood-style contemporary action to Japanese television screens with the late-night drama SP (Security Police). After the series broke rating records in its time-slot and spawned an even more successful drama special, a film version was underway. Two years later, SP arrives in Japanese cinemas with a spectacular two-part film that reportedly took eight long months to film. Written by novelist Kaneshiro Kazuki (who also wrote the series) and produced by Kameyama Chihiro, SP: The Motion Picture brings back V6's Okada Junichi as the Security Police agent with superhuman senses and Tsutsumi Shinichi as his stern boss. With a bigger budget, SP: The Motion Picture - Yabo Hen immediately ups the ante on the action by opening with an exciting 10-minute chase on the streets of Tokyo, leaving Japanese audiences breathless.

Part one of the film - titled Yabo Hen - opens with Inoue Kaoru (Okada Junichi) using his extraordinary powers to thwart another deadly terrorist attack on a charity event. However, Kaoru's rule-breaking ways also earn him stern warnings from his superiors, including his boss Ogata (Tsutsumi Shunichi). At the same time, an ambitious terrorist plot is being hatched deep within the government by government official Kunio (Kagawa Terayuki), putting Kaoru's team in the line of fire.

Outside the Edo Castle, the men fought for power and glory. Within the castle, the women fought for even more. Fuji TV's luscious period drama Ooku, first aired in 2003, brought viewers deep into the castle to the expansive inner courts housing the wives and concubines of the Tokugawa shogun. Within the veiled corridors of the Ooku, or "Inner Palace", another set of politics and rivalries reigned as the women competed for power, status, and the favor and love of the shogun. The first Ooku was so popular, it spawned two more seasons, and now a feature film.

Ooku (a.k.a. Oh-Oku - The Women of the Inner Palace) marks the film debut for TV director Hayashi Toru, who produced the three Ooku television series. Taking the same successful formula to the big screen, feature film Ooku is set during the reign of child shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu, who assumed rule at four years of age. The film depicts one of the most storied scandals of the inner courts, the power struggle between Ietsugu's concubine mother and the previous shogun's official wife. Starring Nakama Yukie (Shinobi), Nishijima Hidetoshi (Su-ki-da), and Igawa Haruka (Until the Lights Come Back), this grand tale of romance, politics, and treachery comes to the silver screen with extravagant grace, featuring beautiful sets and costumes and biting historical melodrama.

Shinohara Ryoko is back as one of Japan s toughest female cops in Unfair: The Answer. After tackling a tough hostage situation in Unfair The Movie, Detective Yukihara now becomes embroiled in a serial murder case and ends up being framed as the prime suspect. Taking over as director for the first time in the franchise, screenwriter Sato Shimako (K-20) creates a complex narrative that includes a murder mystery, a battle between prosecutors and the police, and even a conspiracy thriller that reaches the highest levels of government. All of this adds up to the biggest and the most dangerous case Yukihara has ever faced!

After the hospital hostage incident in Unfair The Movie, tough-talking detective Yukihara Natsumi (Shinahara Ryoko) is transferred to Hokkaido. While she is adjusting to the new environment, her former colleagues in Tokyo begin investigating a series of brutal murders. In the process, they find the fingerprints of Yukihara s ex-husband Kazuo (Kagawa Teruyuki) on one of the victims, turning him into a suspect. Now on the run, Kazuo manages to find Yukihara and hands her a USB drive containing information about a secret organization within the police force. After the meeting, Yukihara is suddenly arrested as another prime suspect in the case. Now, Yukihara may have to rely on Tokyo prosecutor Murakami (Yamada Takayuki) to prove her innocence.

The miraculous real-life story told in Wanko - The Story of Me, My Family and Rock by director Nakae Isamu (Sugar and Spice) is one of the many emotional stories from this disaster. Sato Ryuta (Umizaru) and Aso Kumiko (Seaside Hotel) star as married owners of a Miyake bed and breakfast who are separated from their family dog Rock during the evacuation. First revealed on a television news show, Wanko is a touching drama about the strength of familial bond and staying resilient in the face of natural disasters.

The Noyama family - Matsuo (Sato Ryuta), Takako (Aso Kumiko) and their son Shin (Ryunosuke Hashino) - lives a peaceful life with newborn family puppy Rock at their bed & breakfast on Miyake Island, located 180 km south of Tokyo. However, that peace is broken when a series of volcanic eruptions on the island forces them to be evacuated to Tokyo, separating them from Rock in the process. With no chance of returning home soon, the family begins a new life in Tokyo, while holding onto the hope that they will be reunited with Rock someday .

It's once more into the fray for Matsuda Shota, who returns to the Liar Game without co-star Toda Erika for the first time in Liar Game - Reborn, the second film based on Kaitani Shinobu's popular manga. Resetting the game two years after the end of The Final Stage, the creators have set up a new Liar Game with new rules and the same consequences: a big payday for the winner, and a mountain of debt for the 19 other losers. This time, Matsuda's master schemer character Akiyama is joined by Shinomiya (played by Tabe Mikako, Kimi ni Todoke), who needs his help to defeat the new "musical chairs" game created by the mysterious Omega (television actress Esumi Makiko) and Alice (Japan's sweetheart Ashida Mana).

As revenge for the events at the end of Liar Game - The Final Stage, the Liar Game authorities have created the game's most difficult challenge yet. After much-needed convincing by young college student Shinomiya (Tabe Mikako), former con artist/Liar Game player Akiyama (Matsuda Shota) also agrees to return to play for the two billion yen prize. However, not even Akiyama's experience with the game can prepare him for what game runners Omega (Esumi Makiko) and Alice (Ashida Mana) have in store for the 20 players.

This edition includes the spin-off dramas Alice in Liar Game and Fukunaga VS Yokoya, as well as making of, stage events, and trailers.

Writer Kaneshiro Kazuki (who also wrote the series), producer Kameyama Chihiro, director Hatano Takafumi, as well as stars Okada Junichi and Tsutsumi Shinichi all return to give the action-packed series the slam-bang finale the series deserves. Secrets from decades past will be exposed as the two SP agents finally reach their inevitable face-off.

Kakumei Hen begins two months after the events of the first film, with Section Four slowly returning to normal. On the day the national assembly is due to pass a vote of no confidence for the cabinet, a group of terrorists invades the building and takes the assembly hostage. Assigned to security in the assembly that day, Inoue uses his extraordinary powers to fight the terrorists and discovers a shocking truth about who's behind the conspiracy.
