Fuji TV Ninkyo Helper (Blu-ray)(Special Edition)(Japan Version) at 298.40 MYR from YesAsia
Fuji TV Ninkyo Helper (Blu-ray)(Special Edition)(Japan Version)
RM 298.40
YesAsia
In the original Ninkyo Helper television drama, a brutal yakuza thug finds his humanity after working in an elderly care facility under his new boss's orders. The 11-episode drama and the special one-off episode ended with hero Hikoichi looking to leave the crime world behind. Almost two years later, Hikoichi's story continues with Beautiful World, the feature length continuation of the drama. Like the series, the film continues to blend gritty gangster violence with a stinging critique of problems in Japanese society, particularly on its failure to fit the needs of an aging society. With the exception of SMAP's Kusanagi Tsuyoshi returning as Hikoichi and a cameo by original cast member Kuroki Meisa, Beautiful World brings together a new cast that includes Yasuda Narumi (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), Kaho and Kagawa Teruyuki (Rurouni Kenshin). After the events of Ninkyo Helper, Hikoichi (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) has moved on from yakuza life and is trying to start a new life as a clerk in a convenience store. His sympathy for the elderly gets him in trouble when he lets an old man rob the store, causing him to serve time in prison. While there, the old man repays Hikoichi's kindness by telling him to see the Asahina Group if he ever gets into trouble. This new association brings Hikoichi back to the crime life, as he joins the Asahina Group and finds himself working in an elderly care home once again. The rundown home is filled with debt-ridden seniors who use their monthly social welfare money to repay their debts to the gang. However, local politician Teruo (Kagawa Teruyuki) is aiming to wipe out the criminal influence in the elderly care industry. This edition includes making of, stage event collection, cast comments from the commencement of shooting and trailers. It also comes with a set of three postcards.

Known for his witty scripts, star-studded casts and elaborate setpieces, Mitani Koki heads to space in his latest comedy Galaxy Turnpike. Drawing on his theater roots, the writer-director often concentrates his offbeat story and eccentric characters in a single setting, be it the hotel of Suite Dreams, the courtroom of Once in a Blue Moon or the castle of The Kiyosu Conference. For Galaxy Turnpike, he sets the action entirely in outer space at a burger joint along the space highway. SMAP's Katori Shingo (Bayside Shakedown: The Final) and Ayase Haruka (Our Little Sister) lead the ensemble cast of extraterrestrial characters. In the year 2265, humanity has spread throughout the solar system, and situated next to Jupiter is a space colony called "Uzushio," which is home to a portion of a space highway that links to Earth. Once a buzzing area with numerous eateries, Uzushio's galaxy turnpike has seen business dwindle in recent years. Here in this dusty corner of the universe begins the story of Noa (Katori Shingo) and Noe (Ayase Haruka), the married proprietors of the fast-food restaurant Sandsand Burger. This edition comes with two bonus discs of special features, a photobook, a Sandsand Burger emblem and a sticker sheet.

Hey! Say! JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke takes his first film leading role in the live-action adaptation of mega-popular manga Assassination Classroom. Written by Matsui Yusei, Assassination Classroom has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2012 and has sold over 10 million copies. The story begins when a mysterious creature destroys 70% of the moon and threatens to destroy the earth within the year. Strangely, the creature then offers to become the homeroom teacher of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's class 3E, notorious for being the home of the school's least academically-inclined students. In reaction to this, the world's leaders task class 3E with assassinating the creature, offering 10 billion as a reward for whomever succeeds. Yamada plays Shiota Nagisa, a 3E student whose friendly exterior masks a dark and dangerous disposition. Physically unimposing and weak, Shiota nevertheless proves to possess the skills of an assassin. The film also stars veteran Shiina Kippei (The After-Dinner Mysteries) as 3E's P.E. teacher Tadaomi Karasuma, former Kara member Kang Ji Young as an assassin/foreign language teacher, and Suda Masaki (Daily Lives Of High School Boys), Yamamoto Maika (Kamen Teacher: The Movie), Taketomi Seika (Hot Road), Yuki Mio (Kami-sama no Iu Toori) and Uehara Miku (Kimi ni Todoke) as Shiota's fellow students. Is a family defined by blood or by love? That's the key question in Like Father, Like Son, the latest film from acclaimed auteur Kore-eda Hirokazu. Japanese superstar Fukuyama Masaharu stars as an architect who falls into a parent's nightmare when he is informed that his six-year-old son was actually switched at birth with another couple's son. After Still Walking and I Wish, Kore-eda once again explores the complexities of the familial bond with this engrossing and heartrending drama, portraying a devastating situation with gentle intimacy and a down-to-earth touch. The winner of the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, Like Father, Like Son also stars Ono Machiko (Climber's High), Maki Yoko (Love Strikes) and Lily Franky (All Around Us). Ryota (Fukuyama Masaharu) thought he had it all: a good job, a lovely wife (Ono Machiko), an expensive home and an adorable six-year-old son to shape in his own image. However, everything comes crashing down when he is informed that his son was switched at birth with another family's child. After getting in touch with the other couple, the down-to-earth Yudai (Lily Franky) and Yukari (Yoko Maki), Ryota is faced with a difficult dilemma: Keep the son that he has spent six years with, or give him up for a stranger that he happens to be related to by blood?

One of the most important turning points in Japanese political history is now a film from beloved writer-director Mitani Koki! Based on his own novel, The Kiyosu Conference is a humorous account of the meeting convened to decide the fate of the nation after the death of Oda Nobunaga. Mitani depicts the meeting as a battle of wits between two factions inside of the shogunate, and the winner will take rule of an entire nation. Like all Mitani films, The Kiyosu Conference features an all-star cast filled with familiar faces: Yakusho Koji (Suite Dreams), Oizumi Yo (The Detective in the Bar), Sato Koichi (The Magic Hour), Tsumabuki Satoshi (Tokyo Family), Suzuka Kyoka (Flowers), Nakatani Miki (Memories of Matsuko) and Matsuyama Kenichi (Death Note). 1582, Japan. When Oda Nobunaga and his eldest son are forced to take their own lives, his chief retainers including Shibata Katsuie (Yakusho Koji) and Hashiba Hideyoshi (Oizumi Yo) convene at Kiyosu Castle to decide on the fate of the shogunate. The chief retainers immediately split into two factions, with the conservative Shibata pushing for Nobunaga's second son and with the wily, charismatic Hideyoshi pushing for another candidate. What follows is a fierce battle of wits that will go into the history books as Japan's first political summit.

The miraculous real-life story told in Wanko - The Story of Me, My Family and Rock by director Nakae Isamu (Sugar and Spice) is one of the many emotional stories from this disaster. Sato Ryuta (Umizaru) and Aso Kumiko (Seaside Hotel) star as married owners of a Miyake bed and breakfast who are separated from their family dog Rock during the evacuation. First revealed on a television news show, Wanko is a touching drama about the strength of familial bond and staying resilient in the face of natural disasters. The Noyama family - Matsuo (Sato Ryuta), Takako (Aso Kumiko) and their son Shin (Ryunosuke Hashino) - lives a peaceful life with newborn family puppy Rock at their bed & breakfast on Miyake Island, located 180 km south of Tokyo. However, that peace is broken when a series of volcanic eruptions on the island forces them to be evacuated to Tokyo, separating them from Rock in the process. With no chance of returning home soon, the family begins a new life in Tokyo, while holding onto the hope that they will be reunited with Rock someday . On March 11, 2011, a powerful earthquake and the tsunami waves that followed killed tens of thousands of people in northeast Japan. Journalist Ishii Kota chronicled his ten days in the town of Kamaishi one of the hardest-hit areas in the disasters in his book Itai Shinsai, Tsunami of Hate ni. Writer-director Kimizuka Ryoichi (the Bayside Shakedown series, Nobody to Watch Over Me) recreates those ten days in Reunion. The film stars Nishida Toshiyuki (Ghost of a Chance, Outrage Beyond) as a retired funeral home employee who brought order to Kamaishi's temporary funeral home and helped families of the victims properly put their loved ones to rest. Proceeds from the film were donated to the recovery effort in the disaster zone. After the March 11th tsunami virtually wiped away half of Kamaishi, a temporary morgue was set up in a local gym to handle the dead. After the disaster, retired undertaker Chiba Atsushi (Nishida Toshiyuki) volunteered to take charge of the funeral home. Using his years of experience, Atsushi taught rescue workers to handle the bodies with care, arranged for the bodies to be presented in a respectable state to family members and spoke softly to them as he prepared them for their final journey into the crematorium. Soon, rescue workers, city employees and medical professionals working on the site were so touched by Atsushi's dedication to the cause that they eventually come together to lend a helping hand.
