First comes phone sex, then comes real love? Writer-director Byun Sung Hyun (The Beat Goes On) spices up the romantic comedy genre with Whatcha Wearin'?, a hilarious film that proves love can truly grow from the most unlikely of places. Kim Ah Joong (200 Pound Beauty) stars as a woman who makes a phone sex call to rescue her relationship, only to accidentally call a heartbroken man, played by Ji Sung (Protect the Boss). The result is a love story that only uses a lowbrow concept to explore the nature of modern relationships. An unlikely Christmas hit despite its adult-only rating, Whatcha Wearin' delighted Korean audiences with its brand of raunchy humor, sexy dialogue and a sweet, touching love story. After discovering that his ex-girlfriend has already found a new boyfriend, Hyun Seung (Ji Sung) suffers an emotional breakdown. Just as he is ready to swear off love forever, he gets an anonymous phone sex call from a complete stranger. However, Yoon Jung (Kim Ah Joong), the girl on the other end of the line, discovers that she has called the wrong number and quickly hangs up. Stuck in a dead-end relationship with her boyfriend of five years, Yoon Jung was hoping the phone sex call would spice up their relationship. Instead, the call sets off a strange phone-based friendship with Hyun Seung that may turn into real love.

Deltamac Together (2012) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version) at 91.30 MYR from YesAsia
Deltamac Together (2012) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)
RM 91.30
YesAsia
The director of hit television dramas like Love Contract and Marry Me, Hsu Chao Jen now makes his feature film debut with Together, a lighthearted romantic comedy about romances on the streets of Taipei. Together is a study on how the members of one Taipei family deal with commitment and the possibilities of new romances in their lives. The film steers away from the typical melodramatic tone of similar stories, taking a surprisingly light, down-to-earth approach to commitment phobia and infidelity. Together's ensemble cast is led by Kenny Bee (Eagle Shooting Heroes) and Li Lieh (Touch of the Light), two veteran actors who shine here as a married couple who may be on the brink of separation. Min Min (Li Lieh) runs a juice stall in Taipei's Yongle Market. Her husband Bin (Kenny Bee) runs a small printing business in the neighborhood. Their daughter Hsiao Lan (Gina Lee) is dating a bad boy-type that keeps her out late at night, and their youngest son Hsiao Yang is helping his best friend get a date with a local caf girl. One day, neighborhood girl Hsiao Li (Sonia Sui) returns home and announces her engagement to a bookseller. However, Hsiao Li is getting cold feet about the marriage and starts spending time with Bin. Meanwhile, Min Min also finds herself growing closer to Hsiang (Umin Boya), the friendly owner of a dress-making shop in the market.

Deltamac Christmas Rose (2013) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version)
RM 91.30
YesAsia
Actress Charlie Yeung makes her directorial debut with Christmas Rose. Yeung spent years developing her script about a controversial court case involving the molestation of a young woman and even has the support of directors Tsui Hark (Once Upon a Time in China) and Jacob Cheung (Battle of Wits) as her producers. Yeung stays strictly behind the camera for Christmas Rose, handing all the acting work to her high-wattage cast, including Aaron Kwok (Conspirators), Guey Lun Mei (Flying Swords of Dragon Gate), Chang Chen (The Grandmaster), Xia Yu (Wind Blast) and Liu Kai Chi (The Stool Pigeon). See these fantastic actors go head-to-head in this gripping and emotionally powerful court drama. Paralyzed at a young age, Jing (Guey Lun Mei) is a kind piano teacher who leads a quiet life. One day, she accuses her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) of molesting her during a typical medical examination. Zhou is promptly arrested, charged and put on trial. The prosecutor of the case is Tim (Aaron Kwok), an idealistic lawyer who joined the law world to punish the guilty. However, as Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) helps him peel back the pieces, the more complex the case becomes. Soon, Tim begins to question the truth surrounding Jing's story. This edition includes making of and trailers.

Every family has its secrets, but they can't remain secrets forever. Director Pang Ho Cheung explores the complex dynamics of a Hong Kong family in Aberdeen, one of the Hong Kong filmmaker's most personal projects of his career. Featuring a star-studded cast, the ambitious family drama stars Louis Koo (The White Storm), Gigi Leung (The Monkey King), Miriam Yeung (Love in a Puff), Eric Tsang (Horseplay) and Ng Man Tat (Shaolin Soccer) as members of a family that is on the verge of being destroyed by secrets from the past. Five years in the making, Aberdeen was the opening film of both the 2014 Hong Kong International Film Festival and the 2014 Udine Far East Film Festival. On the surface, the Cheng family seems like a normal middle-class family, but each member is dealing with difficult issues. Tao (Louis Koo) is one of Hong Kong's most successful celebrity cram school tutors. His wife Ceci (Gigi Leung) is a model whose career has been on a downward slope because of her age, and he's worried that their daughter Chloe may grow up being discriminated against because of her average looks. Meanwhile, Tao's older sister Ching (Miriam Yeung) can't get over that her late mother may still resent her from beyond the grave, as her doctor husband Yau (Eric Tsang) indulges in an extramarital affair with his clinic's young nurse (Jessica Choi). To make things worse, Tao refuses to acknowledge the relationship between his father (Ng Man Tat) and nightclub girl Ta (Carrie Ng). As the conflicts pile up, the secrets they thought they have forgotten threaten to resurface. This edition includes commentary, deleted scenes, three trailers, five making-of featurettes, a 26-minute documentary, theme song music video, director's statement, production notes and stills gallery.

Hey! Say! JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke takes his first film leading role in the live-action adaptation of mega-popular manga Assassination Classroom. Written by Matsui Yusei, Assassination Classroom has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2012 and has sold over 10 million copies. The story begins when a mysterious creature destroys 70% of the moon and threatens to destroy the earth within the year. Strangely, the creature then offers to become the homeroom teacher of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's class 3E, notorious for being the home of the school's least academically-inclined students. In reaction to this, the world's leaders task class 3E with assassinating the creature, offering 10 billion as a reward for whomever succeeds. Yamada plays Shiota Nagisa, a 3E student whose friendly exterior masks a dark and dangerous disposition. Physically unimposing and weak, Shiota nevertheless proves to possess the skills of an assassin. The film also stars veteran Shiina Kippei (The After-Dinner Mysteries) as 3E's P.E. teacher Tadaomi Karasuma, former Kara member Kang Ji Young as an assassin/foreign language teacher, and Suda Masaki (Daily Lives Of High School Boys), Yamamoto Maika (Kamen Teacher: The Movie), Taketomi Seika (Hot Road), Yuki Mio (Kami-sama no Iu Toori) and Uehara Miku (Kimi ni Todoke) as Shiota's fellow students. Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari voices Koro Sensei.

Three of Korea's hottest young actors, Kim Soo Hyun (The Thieves), Lee Hyun Woo (To the Beautiful You) and Park Ki Woong (War of the Arrows) star as unlikely North Korean spies in the espionage action blockbuster Secretly, Greatly. Directed by Jang Cheol Su (Bedevilled), the film revolves around three elite North Korean agents sent undercover to South Korea. Until they receive their missions, they must carry out the most ordinary of lives in a quiet neighborhood a story that carries the three heroes from slapstick comedy to intense action and drama. Also co-starring Son Hyun Ju (Hide and Seek), Kim Sung Kyun (Nameless Gangster) and Ko Chang Seok (The Grand Heist), Secretly, Greatly broke Korea's first-day box-office record and raked in nearly nine million admissions to become one of the biggest Korean films of 2013. Two years ago, North Korean agent Won Ryu Hwan (Kim Soo Hyun) was sent to the South to lay low and await an assignment. His cover: the village idiot. Once a great soldier of the Republic's most elite and brutal special forces, Ryu Hwan can now only diligently play the part of the bumbling fool, right down to daily missions of falling down in public and getting bullied by kids. He works at a corner store run by a kind woman who cares for him like a son. Soon, more sleeper agents show up in his neighborhood including his former subordinate Ri Hae Jin (Lee Hyun Woo), now a high school student, and the cynical and rebellious Lee Hae Rang (Park Ki Woong), who has no musical talent but is supposed to somehow become a rock singer. Just when the three spies have befriended the neighbors and grown accustomed to their small-town life, shocking orders from the North come in. This edition comes with the Extended Cut of the film, plus making-of, music video and trailer.

A tribute to the classic 80s vampire movie Mr. Vampire, singer-turned-director Juno Mak's cult directorial debut Rigor Mortis, starring the original cast of Chin Siu Ho, Anthony Chan, Richard Ng, Billy Lau and Chung Fa as well as veteran actors Paw Hee Ching and Kara Hui, is one of the finest surprises in Chinese cinema in 2013. Produced by Japanese horror master Shimizu Takashi, the Category III thriller revives long-lost Hong Kong vampire folklore and renews the horror genre by combining hopping Chinese vampires and Japanese-style haunted ghosts into an inventive horror film based on the famous vampire hunters Chin Siu Ho and Anthony Chan played in the 80s. Nominated for three 2013 Golden Horse awards including Best New Director and Best Makeup & Costume Design, Rigor Mortis is praised for its stylish shooting, creative visual effects and intriguingly unearthly atmosphere rarely seen in Chinese cinema. Rising to fame with his role as a vampire hunter in the movie Mr. Vampire in the 80s, action star Siu Ho (Chin Siu Ho) is now a down-and-out middle-aged man who lives alone in the haunted unit numbered 2442 in a public estate. With a broken family and a career that has gone downhill, Siu Ho tries to end his life in his own apartment but ends up having his body possessed by a pair of twin ghosts. Saved by exorcist Ah Yau (Anthony Chan), Siu Ho decides to help his ex-tenant Yeung Fung (Kara Hui) and her son after finding out about their family tragedy. Aunt Mui (Paw Hee Ching), a kindhearted old lady in the neighborhood, has a secret coffin hidden in her flat which foreshadows the beginning of a mysterious bloodshed.

Park Hee Soon (The Client) co-stars as the dogged military man on the chase, along with a supporting cast that includes Jo Sung Ha (Commitment), Kim Sung Kyun (Hwayi: A Monster Boy), Jo Jae Yoon (Miracle in Cell No. 7) and Yoo Da In (Re-encounter). Colonel Min Se Hoon (Park Hee Soon), a tough-as-nails spy tracker whose unit was wiped out by Dong Cheol years ago, is called in to lead the manhunt.
