Last year, ZTE Max Pro impressed everyone with its features and price. The same goes for this year with the Max XL. It follows the formula of the ZTE Max Pro with slight improvements and keeps the shoestring price. The Max XL is just 1/8 the price of the Samsung Galaxy S8 but you already get a fingerprint sensor, a capacious 3,990 mAh battery, and a pre-installed Android Nougat operating system. Although there’s no waterproof technology and NFC, the Max XL is already a decent mid-range phone for those who want to do just the basics.
As a follow-up to last year’s ZTE Blade V7, the Blade V8 only shows slight improvements but still keeps many features found on current flagship smartphones for a shoestring price tag. The Blade V8 appears to be black on the front with well-polished aluminum trimmings and gray sides. The front façade also sports an 8 MP front snapper found on the upper right-hand side. On the left, beside the front-facing camera is the earpiece speaker. The Blade V8 also follows the bezel-less trend found on high-end flagship smartphones as it has very thin edges. It also has a physical home button which also functions as a fingerprint scanner. Its other navigation buttons are capacitive which are found beside the home button. They cast small round glows under the glass.
