Xiaomi Starts Selling the Redmi Note 4 in Stores Across Asia
07 February 2018Previously, Xiaomi officials tweeted about a new device coming soon but they did not confirm if it is the Redmi Note 4. But last year in November, the Redmi Note 4 was launched in China, and now starts selling in other countries like Nepal. Recently, Xiaomi just unveiled the device in India on May 16 and it has already sold over a million Redmi Note 4 units. As for its specifications, the Redmi Note 4 comes with a decent 296 PPI pixel density in its 5.5-inch IPS LCD display. It is available in three storage variants: the 2 GB RAM/32 GB storage, 3 GB RAM /32 GB storage, and the 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage. It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 8 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz along with an Adreno 505 GPU. It also comes equipped with a stellar 4100 mAh battery. In the camera department, the Redmi Note 4 hosts a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper as expected for a mid-range device. However, unlike many other mid-range models, it comes with a phase detection autofocus that allows shooting moving objects. Aside from these, the Redmi Note 4 hosts a micro SD slot and a dual SIM feature. In terms of the operating system, Xiaomi loaded the device with the Android Marshmallow version, unlike its high-end smartphones that host the latest Android version, the Nougat. The Redmi Note 4 sports a gyroscope, IR blaster, and a fingerprint sensor which many other phones in this range don’t have. It also comes with the basic sensors like ambient light, accelerometer, compass, and proximity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is already out in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong. It comes with a starting price of 673 RM (220 SGD, 7,750 PHP, and 1,215 HKD).
