Xiaomi Starts Selling the Redmi Note 4 in Stores Across Asia

07 February 2018

Previously, Xiaomi officials tweeted about a new device coming soon but they did not confirm if it is the Redmi Note 4. But last year in November, the Redmi Note 4 was launched in China, and now starts selling in other countries like Nepal. Recently, Xiaomi just unveiled the device in India on May 16 and it has already sold over a million Redmi Note 4 units. As for its specifications, the Redmi Note 4 comes with a decent 296 PPI pixel density in its 5.5-inch IPS LCD display. It is available in three storage variants: the 2 GB RAM/32 GB storage, 3 GB RAM /32 GB storage, and the 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage. It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 8 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz along with an Adreno 505 GPU. It also comes equipped with a stellar 4100 mAh battery. In the camera department, the Redmi Note 4 hosts a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper as expected for a mid-range device. However, unlike many other mid-range models, it comes with a phase detection autofocus that allows shooting moving objects. Aside from these, the Redmi Note 4 hosts a micro SD slot and a dual SIM feature. In terms of the operating system, Xiaomi loaded the device with the Android Marshmallow version, unlike its high-end smartphones that host the latest Android version, the Nougat. The Redmi Note 4 sports a gyroscope, IR blaster, and a fingerprint sensor which many other phones in this range don’t have. It also comes with the basic sensors like ambient light, accelerometer, compass, and proximity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is already out in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong. It comes with a starting price of 673 RM (220 SGD, 7,750 PHP, and 1,215 HKD).

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Malaysia: Practically Equipped, Practically Powerful

The last model for the 3rd generation Red mi from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S has all the solid features that made the flagship devices of leading smartphone brands a breakthrough in the market. It’s a device that gathered all the outstanding and essential smartphone features together and left all the non-sense ones behind. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S, is a smartphone made for people with a practical budget but a demanding need for performance and power.

Mean-mean Grinding Machine

To kick start impressing its users, for a budget friendly price tag, users are treated with an Octa-core 1.4GHz Cortex A53 processor and an Adreno GPU. Performance wise, it can pretty much run virtually all apps that require a demanding amount of processing speed and graphic rendering. Users will be pleased with how efficient the Xiaomi Redmi3S could perform. Aside from its outstanding processor, multitasking will be such a breeze with its 2GB RAM.

Top Notch Camera

Without a second thought, the camera of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Malaysia is clearly a win for all of its users. A 13-megapixel main camera that is armed with a hybrid phase detection auto-focus, which is comparable to the laser auto-focus of the leading flagship devices. Keeping your camera’s focus on a moving object will be easy and snappy! This is most especially helpful for video recording, which this phone can do pretty well with a 1080p resolution at 30 fps frame rate. It’s front camera on the other hand packs a 5 Megapixel sensor which also comes with face detection and auto-focus feature. It’s more than enough to produce share worthy selfies. It can also shoot videos at 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps.

Battery: Bigger is Better

While most flagship devices from more established brands pump up their phone’s specs, many of them hasn’t fully addressed the efficiency of their batteries. The only way to do it is to pump in more battery capacity into the phone, and that is where most of them fail, Xiaomi on the other hand was able to add 4100 mAh non-removable battery to its Redmi 3S. To think the Redmi 3S doesn’t fall on the phablet category, this amount of battery charge in a smartphone that only has 5” screen is already impressive. This makes Xiaomi Redmi 3S Malaysia one of the most efficient 5” devices in the market today that packs the biggest battery to date.
