Xiaomi Mi Max Review - Go Big or Go Home

True to its name, the Xiaomi Mi Max really maximizes on both size and battery life. The Xiaomi Max Malaysia price is reasonable for the abundant features it offers. This extra-large Xiaomi smartphone errs closely into tablet territory. This is thanks to the massive 6.44-inch display on the front of the device; and as if the display isn’t already huge, Xiaomi has opted for capacitive buttons on the bottom chin of the smartphone, giving users a whole extra row of usability on the smartphone.

The large display boasts a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) that is crisp and clear, and also bright, making outdoor use under sunlight easy. The large display may difficult to handle at first for people who are not familiar with larger phones, but it does offer a larger screen real-estate which makes watching videos very enjoyable. Mobile games and other applications also take advantage of the larger screen by offering a much clearer view at texts and menu, so no more squinting at the display to see what is written on it.

Massive Battery Capacity

As stated, the large Full HD display on the Mi Max isn’t the only big thing. Xiaomi has managed to put in a massive 4850 battery capacity into the large and slim Mi Max body – it is their largest battery ever put into a Xiaomi smartphone too. Paired with the frugal Snapdragon 652 chipset, the Xiaomi Mi Max offers up to 10 hours of continuous video playback.

The battery will last most users well throughout a whole day and then more; some have even experienced an amazingly long 9 hours of screen time with the Mi Max! Forget worrying about bringing your charger or power bank, the Mi Max will keep up with your productivity and entertainment on the go.

Maximum Power

The Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, which is a rather impressive processor. It delivers great performance on every aspect of the smartphone, most users will be hard-pressed to notice the difference between the Mi Max and a more expensive flagship phone in the typical day-to-day usage.

Out of the box, this Xiaomi phone runs on Xiaomi’s very own custom version of Android, MIUI 7; an incredibly feature rich custom user interface for Xiaomi smartphones. However, MIUI 8 will also be made available on the Mi Max, bringing about large changes to the design of the user interface and many more features.

Impossible to use in one hand without the help of software. MIUI is a very heavy Android skin, and software updates are rare.
There are plenty of large phones to choose from these days: the iPhone 7 Plus, the Galaxy Note 7, the OnePlus 3, and many others that feature displays at least 5.5-inches in size, which can make them a bit cumbersome to use in one hand. But nothing compa...
