Having spent countless hours listening to both the CX 300 and the CX 300 II precision headsets I can honestly say that it has been really hard picking between the two of them as they both have great audio quality. So choosing which headset got the highest award would be unfair as they are both fantastic headsets in there our right, it would all depend what you want from your headset and what price you pay that would determine which headset you go for.

The Sennheiser CX 300-II falls into the category of in-ear earphone — not in the old sense of sitting loosely in the outer ear, nor of the newer entirely-in-the-ear such as those pioneered by Etymotic Research.
