The Mobile World Congress (a.k.a MWC) 2018, one of the biggest events in the mobile industry has just recently ended last Friday in Barcelona. As we look back at the festivities, MWC this year felt a little underwhelming, probably because Samsung stole the show before the event even officially began with the launch of the Galaxy S9. Nevertheless, the show still had its fair share of highlights that is worth talking about. Hence, below are some of the most notable handsets that were seen last week.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Release Date, Price, and Specs in Malaysia

What is Known So Far about the Galaxy Note 9

It is safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was easily one of the best mobile phones released in 2017. However, Samsung Malaysia aims to continue its domination of the mobile industry with the upcoming release of the Galaxy Note 9. Despite having months to go before the phone is predicted to be released, there is already a myriad of rumours circulating regarding the phone’s potential specs and features. Knowing Samsung, the Galaxy Note 9 is definitely a device that will not fail to impress. Below is a compilation of the speculations about the Galaxy Note 9 so far.

Samsung Note 9 Release Date

There is no official announcement from Samsung yet, but according to the release dates of its predecessors, the Galaxy Note 9 is rumoured to be released sometime in August 2018. Looking back, the Note 8 and the notorious Note 7 also followed the August schedule, so it is quite likely that Samsung will continue to stick with a similar release date for this upcoming flagship.

Galaxy Note 9 Display Size

Rumours are also suggesting that the Note 9 will be equipped with either a 6.3-inch or 6.4-inch display screen. If this is proven true, the phone will come with generous real estate for both work and entertainment purposes.

Samsung Note 9 Fingerprint Sensor

This time around, Samsung leaks are suggesting that the Note 9 will come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner which will be a first for Samsung smartphones thus far. Samsung does have a hit or miss history in terms of the position of the fingerprint scanner on a few Galaxy S series models in the past, hence this seems to be a good approach to solve the issue.

Samsung Note 9 Internal Hardware

Being its next flagship phone, it goes without saying that Samsung is not pulling anything back for the Galaxy Note 9, especially when it comes to the device’s performance. The phone is expected to come with Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chipset. Compared to the A11 chipset in the iPhone X, the former provides faster processing speeds for everyday usage. Supporting the Exynos processor will be 6GB of RAM.

Galaxy Note 9 Battery

According to leaks available so far, it seems that the Note 9 might be fitted with a massive 4,000mAh battery pack. This means that the phone should easily last through a busy day of work on a single charge. Moreover, it is also quite likely that the device will come with wireless charging capabilities as the technology has been introduced on the Samsung Galaxy S9.
