Motorola Moto C Plus – Motorola’s Latest Phone

In the world of smartphones, Motorola is not a popular choice. But all that changed with the introduction of the Motorola Moto C Plus. Out of all the Motorola phone series, the Moto C Plus houses practical features that not only work well but get you where you need to go. Released in June 2017, the phone comes in both a Dual SIM and Single SIM variant.

Build Quality

Keeping up with its competitors, the Motorola Moto C Plus features a TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colours. With a screen size of 5 inches and 720x1280 pixels, there’s certainly much to see. A plastic body may be one downside to giving the phone a premium look, but it goes along well with the phone’s lower budget prospect.

The phone comes in four colours - Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold, and Starry Black. It weighs 162 grams and has a width of 10mm.

What’s Underneath?

The Motorola Moto C Plus features a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU on a Mediatek MT6737 chipset. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat so it’s snappy for toggling between apps and other processes. It supports all your favourite apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Google Chrome and much more.

Compatible with Wi-Fi and hotspot capabilities, the Moto C Plus allows for simple and easy access to browse the web. It also supports a network up to 4G with speeds up to 150/50 Mbps. As for messaging features, the phone gives the standard options of SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, and IM.

One area where the Moto C Plus excels is in battery power. The phone is powered by a removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery that allows for medium to heavy usage throughout the day. Some of the phone’s comms include Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and FM Radio.

Motorola Moto C Plus Camera

With all the features, the Motorola Moto C Plus’ camera is one of main criteria users focus on. The Motorola Moto C Plus’ primary camera is an 8MP (f/2.2, 1.12 µm) featuring an autofocus and LED flash. You also get Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR settings that allow for maximum customization of photos. Although the specs are nothing to shout about, the phone offers a good value for your money for what you get. The secondary camera is a 2MP shooter that works fine for your selfies.

Overall, the Motorola Moto C Plus does a good job as a smartphone although it may not be the greatest handset to get at that price.
