Lenovo ZUK Z1 Review – Smooth looks

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 looks simple at one glance, but it also gives a futuristic feel bringing the minimalistic nature. The device itself does not have much to flash, but what lies underneath is definitely tantalising. All physical buttons – volume rockers and power button are hidden neatly in the case making it look sleek and futuristic.

High Performance

The 5.5-inch display gives a large viewing area to work with. With HD, the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours gives you a vibrant feel. Running on Android OS v5.1.1 (Lollipop), the ZUK Z1 is capable of running processes smooth and problem free. The Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset on the Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU works well with the overall configuration.

Camera

Unbelievably, the ZUK Z1 comes with a 13MP f/2.2 autofocus OIS camera with a dual-LED flash system. The front camera is an 8 MP shooter with features such as geo-tagging, face detection and panorama shot. This combination makes it perfect for everyday shots.

Dual-SIM and more

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 is suitable for both work and leisure communication as its Dual SIM capability allows you to switch between two SIM cards. Have the perfect work-life balance thanks to this amazing feature. Storage space for the Lenovo ZUK Z1 comes in at 3GB with internal memory at 64GB and no external card slot.

Other features include A-GPS, Active noise cancellation on speaker, fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro and proximity sensor, compass and Wi-Fi. All these little add-ons make the Lenovo Z1 an easy device to work with. So to wrap up, the main selling points of the Lenovo ZUK Z1 are its sleek looks, security features, camera technology and the overall experience of using the Lenovo ZUK Z1.

Thinking of getting one? There are two colour variants for the Lenovo ZUK Z1; white and dark grey. The dark grey looks more appealing but that’s just our opinion.

Glitchfree performance, Excellent battery life, Cyanogen OS brings added tweaks,
Boring design, No expandable storage, Older processor could put off some users
We're not going to lie, the design of the Lenovo ZUK Z1 won't turn any heads. It's not ugly or chunky, but it's boring. Our unit sported the same old black façade, with a plastic back panel that takes away from the solid metal rim and chamfered edges. We...

The Lenovo Zuk Z1 has a clean software interface and a comfortable Apple iPhone-ish frame. Battery life is fantastic, too
The camera performs terribly with lots of image noise, and the fingerprint sensor doesn't always sense your fingers to unlock the phone
The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is a $320 Android phone that looks a lot like an iPhone 6S Plus. Its rear camera takes mediocre pictures and its fingerprint scanner doesn't always read your fingerprint. Its biggest saving grace is the phone's super-long battery life.Th...

Great battery life, Reliable fingerprint scanner, 64GB of storage, Good performance, Above average camera (especially outdoors)
Non removable battery (subjective), No microSD (but there is 64GB of built-in storage), Bland design (but it does have a metal frame), Average speaker, No NFC
Lenovo's smartphone strategy is certainly diverse. The company sells phones under its own name, it also sells phones under its Motorola brand, and it is also investing in other smartphone makers, in this case the Hong Kong-based ZUK. And it seems that ZUK...
