Lenovo S660 in Malaysia

The Lenovo S660 was released in June 2014 and has since been a step up from its low-end competitors. Everything you love in a budget smartphone starts with a screen size of 4.7 inches. Although not full HD, the Lenovo S660 sports a 16M colours IPS LCD display. The screen is a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen that works well with up to 5 fingers on screen.

Lenovo S660 camera features

Who doesn’t love a good camera? Lenovo S660’s rear camera may seem like a basic model, coming in at 8MP, but this little bad boy is enough to get all your shots in. Image quality is clear and colours come out bright and cheerful and it comes with autofocus and LED flash features. The rear camera is a VGA shooter so it’s nothing to shout about.


The Lenovo S660 runs on Android OS 4.2 Jelly Bean. With a Mediatek MT6582M chipset and a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, speeds are optimum for a budget smartphone. RAM comes in at 1GB with storage space at 8GB.

The standards

In every smartphone, we need some basic features. In the Lenovo S660, the standard features are MP3 and MP4 player, GPS, microUSB compatibility, SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM. Of course another standard feature is Wi-Fi and Wi-FI Hotspot. Bluetooth is also available on the device.


The Lenovo S660 is powered by a Li-Po 3000 mAh battery that gives up to 840 hours on 3G on standby mode while clocking up to 20 hours on talktime. By far one of the best-selling points of the Lenovo S660, the battery is rather impressive.

Other features of the Lenovo S660 include the photo and video editor, document viewer, voice memo, Geo-tagging, HDR mode and touch focus on the camera app and active noise cancellation on the dedicated microphone.
