News about HTC One M8

The world has gotten a glimpse of the HTC One X10 – the latest addition to the company’s mid-range line of devices – after its recent release in the US market. Despite its affordable mid-range price, the device includes premium features that are typically found in devices that are far more expensive. Thomas Dexmier, HTC Australia and New Zealand, head of Sales and Marketing said, “Every element of the HTC One X10 is premium, except for its price. This HTC One phone is designed to deliver top of the range performance and convenience at a price that is amongst the best value in the market today.”

HTC Malaysia introduces the U Play smartphone into their mobile inventory. The latest offering from HTC is a value-for-money phone that consists of many plus points. Design-wise, HTC has taken its cues from U Play’s higher-priced brother, the U Ultra. Hence, the device looks better than most of the smartphones that are marketed in the same price bracket. The U Play sports the same metallic liquid surface form factor that can be found on the U Ultra and the body fits perfectly with the U Play’s 5.2-inch display.

HTC One M8 Malaysia Features & Specifications

HTC One M8 Review: Craftsmanship at its Best

Picking up the HTC One M8 gives a sense of solidity and class that's unlike any other smartphone. The HTC One M8 feels exquisite in the palm, it's brushed metal curved rear fits perfectly in the curve of our palm. The all-metal unibody wraps around the smartphone, allowing for a metal feel not only in our palms but also along our fingers.

The HTC One M8 is also unbelievably slim at only 9.35 mm in thickness (or thinness). This is achieved by the proper stacking of internal hardware components, allowing HTC to provide a slim smartphone without compromising on any high-performance hardware. It's just premium from the top to the bottom.

Double The Boom

Like many other HTC smartphones, the HTC One M8 features HTC's very own signature front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers. The speakers each have its own built-in amplifiers to help it bring out the roar of these great stereo speakers. The BoomSound speakers delivery front-facing stereo audio that's unlike any other smartphone speaker, great clarity comes through with rich bass, delivering all of your music and movies with the richness of quality audio.

Double The Lenses

Like the inclusion of the unique front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers, the HTC One M8 comes with the Duo Camera system. On the rear of the beautiful HTC One M8 sits two camera lenses, one is a 4.1 Ultrapixel camera that uses larger pixels to capture up to 300% more light than a standard pixel; the other is a lens that captures depth-of-field information.

The information captured by the other lens is used to help the camera focus faster and better, and also to create Duo Camera effects post-capturing, such as the blurring of the background and also weather effects. You can also refocus your photographs with the HTC One M8 to either correct the photo or to add a certain effect to it.

Expandable Storage

The HTC One M8 comes with a built-in 32GB of internal storage. It may be enough for most users out there for a decent amount of applications and media, but heavy users may want more space. Fortunately, there is a microSD card slot on the HTC One M8 that users are able to use to expand the storage of up to an extra 128GB, thereby expanding the smartphone's storage.
