Redefining budget smartphones – HTC One M7
Released in April 2013, the HTC One M7 impresses in every way. In terms of looks, the M7 sports a sleek glass finish as it blankets the 4.7-inch screen. Available in a few colours – blue, gold, silver, red, the M7 gets a variety to reach out to the masses. A Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 16M colour configuration gives the M7 a one-up over the competition. Capturing vivid colours in one glance, the M7 deserves more than just a second look. The construction of the phone makes it feel indestructible. Both the top and bottom are the speakers that fit in seamlessly into the phone’s design. The resolution comes in at 1080 x 1920 p full HD while the screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 finish. Capacitive buttons at the bottom are bright and fit the purpose. A subtle HTC logo on the back fits perfectly into the phone’s design. In the front, a 2.1MP camera works well for all your selfies, while the 4MP rear camera does its purpose as a basic shooter.
Goodies on the inside of the HTC One M7
The HTC One M7 has goodies in the form of specs under the casing. Powered by a Qualcomm APQ8064T processor and the Snapdragon 600 chipset and Quad-core 1.7 GHz, this Android smartphone is a powerful little machine. Of course, Bluetooth 4.0, WLAN Wi-Fi connection, stereo FM radio and micro USB capabilities all come standard. Active noise cancellation with dedicated microphone gives the phone high-class feel. Sensors include accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass capabilities. Battery life does well too for the most part. The non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery provides for the device for long lasting hours of usage, giving you hours to work or play. The HTC One M7 does well as a budget smartphone and you will be wise to look out for it.
