BlackBerry Motion – Bringing the Competition Back
BlackBerry was immensely popular in the early 2000’s. After a slump in sales for a couple of years, BlackBerry is back with the all-new BlackBerry Motion. The smartphone that can compete in league with Samsung and iPhone flagship models, the BlackBerry Motion is the smartphone to get particularly if you need a perfect gadget for work.
Let’s look at what makes the BlackBerry Motion a great phone.
BlackBerry Motion Build Quality and Dimensions
You know a phone good when you can feel quality in its build. The same can be said about this BlackBerry smartphone. The key to its sturdy build is the combination of an aluminium frame with a plastic back. Although it is aluminium, the phone is not too heavy, weighing in at 168g. The casing is also dust resistant and IP67 certified.
As for the dimensions, the BlackBerry Motion sits comfortably in your palm with a display size of 5.5 inches. With its IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen covered by a scratch-resistant glass, you won’t have to worry about minor bumps and knocks on the display.
The Ultimate BlackBerry Android Phone
After the Blackberry news on its Android update, there’s been much ado on this smartphone. Fitted with the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset running Android 7.1 Nougat along with an Adreno 506 GPU, the phone is snappy and ready to process all your apps. Blackberry used to be good for work, but now it is great for leisure and everyday communication too.
Memory comes in at 32GB (internal) along with 4GB RAM to allow for maximum use. No worries about external memory though – the BlackBerry Motion external memory capacity goes up to 400GB!
Of course, you have all the standard connectivity features you can find on today’s phones. You get Wi-Fi and Hotspot capabilities, fingerprint unlocking sensors, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB 2.0. The only downside to the BlackBerry Motion is that it only comes in Black colour.
BlackBerry Motion Camera
Many smartphone users take the camera specs as the determining factor to buying the phone. If that is your criteria, you will be sold with the 12MP f/2.0 rear camera with dual-LED dual-tone flash and phase detection autofocus. You also get Geo-tagging, face detection, and HDR settings. As for the rear shooter, you get an 8MP camera with a f/2.2, 1.125 um lens for sharp selfies. Video is great too! You can shoot videos at 1080@30fps. That’s pretty cool considering all you need is a smartphone to create such amazing videos.
With all these features, it is no wonder that BlackBerry smartphones are making a comeback in Malaysia.
