Apple has Released the iPhone X but Skipped the 9

07 February 2018

After Apple unveiled its three latest devices – the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and the iPhone X, many fans have noticed that a number is missing. So, where’s the iPhone 9? With that, Apple does seem to have skipped a device, which is similar to how Microsoft skipped launching its Windows 9. If Apple wanted to maintain the proper number progression and mark its 10th anniversary of iPhone, then they would have had to unveil 3 new iPhone devices this month – iPhone 8, 9, and the X.

Apple iPhone 8 Plus can be the biggest game-changing smartphone in Apple's history

05 February 2018

If the Apple iPhone 8 is Apple's most anticipated smartphone, its rumored more powerful sibling should receive its own fair share of attention as well. Despite lacking official confirmation, people are just as interested in getting to know more about the still mysterious Apple iPhone 8's more up-gunned variant. For a start, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus should incorporate a redesigned OLED display screen. In addition, the display actually covers the entire front of the device.

Apple Watch 4 Price in Malaysia, Release Date, and Specs

Apple Watch Series 4: Packs a Slew of Health Features

Before the all-new iPhones hit the limelight during Apple’s recent September event, the Apple Watch 4 was the first one to be unveiled. It comes with a bigger and stronger display and a range of improved health features. Here’s what you need to know about the Apple Watch 4 price, release date, and specs.

Apple Watch 4 Price

The Apple Watch Series 4 is available in two versions: GPS and GPS+Cellular. The former retails for $399 (~RM 1,653) and $499 (~RM 2,067) for the latter. There will be three color options – Silver, Gold, and Space Black. With the advent of the new Apple Watch Series, the Apple Watch 3 gets a price cut, as it now retails for $279 (~RM 1,156).

Apple Watch 4 Release Date

The Apple Watch 4 is up for pre-order on September 14 and go on sale on September 21.

Apple Watch 4 Specs

Although the Apple Watch Series 4 is pretty similar to its previous iteration design-wise, it comes with a slightly bigger display and a slew of improved health trackers, making it appealing to those who focus on fitness and well-being.

Apple Watch 4 Design and Display

The Series 4 watches retain the traditional rectangular display similar to their predecessors, however, they are slightly larger (at 40mm and 44mm) and have smoother edges. Apple added new watch faces and three new different animations – Water, Flame, and Vapor. Meanwhile, the spinning dial aka “digital crown” on the left side of the watch received an upgrade, as it is now haptic, meaning you’ll get a vibrating and audible “click” as you roll it around. Also, the microphone and speaker have been repositioned so that the latter can be louder and devoid of mic interference.

Apple Watch 4 Health Features

Apple added new features to the Watch Series 4 such as electrocardiogram, fall detection, heart rate detection, and atrial fibrillation detection. While this device isn’t certified for medical procedures, it can provide precise notifications. However, Apple still recommends that users undergo proper medical consultation and avoid over-reliance on the sensors.

Apple Watch 4 Battery Life and Processor

With the latest S4 chipset inside the Apple Watch 4, the device now has an improved battery life. Apple claimed that it can last 18 hours on a single charge or 6 hours in GPS mode, making it an attractive option for runners and marathoners. As for the charging setup, it is the same as its predecessor – a wireless and magnetic charger that you can attach to the back of the device.
